So, here's some of the manga art I've been working on. Um...tell me what you think?

So the first drawing looks very good. I love everything about it, except maybe for the fact that the drawing goes down pretty far and you can't see a hint of a nose.

The second one is also pretty good, and the only critique I would have is that everything is a bit more far up that it should be. The right proportion of a human face are, the eyes halfway down, the nose takes up the whole space beneath the eyes to halfway down again and the mouth is place halfway between the nose and the chin. You almost have the right proportions, they are only a tiny bit higher than they should be, and I think it might even be only the mouth of the guy that is too high.

The third drawing is nice, I love the eyes.

Finally, the last one is probably my least favorite, because again the proportions are a bit off and the eyes are missing a sparkle. The eyes don't look as emotional as your other drawings and I feel it is taking away from it.

Hello, it is review day and i have come to review!
Nice work! but my review would be a bad one if i did nothing but praise you, so... I'm no expert on Manga, but i know manga is all about exaggeration and 'unreal' . What I've noticed about your figures is that you don't exaggerate enough, your figures are a little to realistic for me.

1. A nose or at least stronger brows and a nose bridge would really help with the proportion. It's a nice picture but doesn't really sing manga to me the lines should be stronger, especially the lashes. It really depends what is your style but since the look like female eyes they should be rounder and larger. There are great examples of manga eyes on the internet, you should check some out.

2. Largely I agree with what the person before me said. the bottom part of the face is to long. Manga girls and boys usually have big eyes and small everything else. Also i suggest you look for examples of manga hair, because what you have done is not within the manga style as such, they look more like real life drawings.

3 Quite nice, but looks like a real life drawing, try making the nose more pointed. The hair is abit better in this one but still lacks that manga feel.

4. I like the girl the best. There is an improvement in the eyes and the hair. But for the boy the same things apply as picture 2.

Hello there.

1st: I really like this one. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm fascinated by eyes and faces... But anyways, it's awesome.

2nd: The guy looks weird... His face looks too long and maybe a little crooked. and his nose is nonexistent, which might help with the fact that his face is too long... Since there's nothing between the top of his head and his mouth, it looks kind of weird, and makes the impression of a rather long face. Also, eyes should be at the middle of the face, with the hair included. So, his hair could be a little higher, I think that would help also.

3rd: I agree with Jennya, if you give her a more pointy nose, it should give the drawing a more manga feel. Although it looks good, I don't think it looks like a manga style drawing.

4th: The girl seems fine, but the guy... He needs more work. His eyes look tiny, and remember, eyes at the middle of the face. I think that if you make his eyes bigger, he would look better.

Overall nice job! It's pretty good.

Hey there!

The best thing about the first pic is how much emotion you put into her eyes. You should put this much detail into all your pics! Realistically, her eyebrows should be farther up her forehead, and a bit longer too, I think.

#2- not bad, except it doesn't quite fit your title. How can we tell that this guy is a jock just by looking at his face? Try drawing him fully, maybe even in action. And for the girl, she should have larger, more detailed eyes to convey her innocence. Since you're drawing manga, you can get away with over-exaggerating

#3- awesome job with profile, really! It's one of my weakest areas. I love the shine you put in her ponytail (very realistic) and she has a great smile

#4- I really like Kara, she looks like she could be an anime character. She has a great expression that shows a lot of personality. The guy, however, has strange proportions. His eyes are too squinty, and should be level with his ears. His bangs are too short if they are bangs, and if not then it's too little hair. I do like the shine you added to it, though. It's a great personal touch you do to your drawings

Have you ever watched a youtuber called Mark Crilley? He's a manga artist, and he does amazingly helpful tutorials on his page. If you haven't heard of him before, you should definitely check him out. Your style seems similar to his, so I thought maybe you've been trying to learn off him

Hey there! I am kind of new to reviewing, so I'm sorry if this isnt amazing.

I really like these! I think you've drawn the eyes very, very well. I've tried drawing Manga before but I failed epically, so I envy you here. I love the first picture you've posted, the one of just the eyes because you can really see how great your detailing is on them. I like the others too but that ones definitely my favourite.

The only critique thing I have for you is that sometimes the proportions on the head are a bit weird. For example in the last picture, the top of their heads kind of seem a bit flat in places. With a bit of work though I think they can be easily fixed! Everyone else seem to have given you all of the critiques already so I think thats it from me!

This is strange. Im not the best at sketching, and not nearly as good at reviewing sketching. Ill just point out some major flaws I see
1)The lines are a bit too jaged. Sure it is a sketch, but the jaggedness makes it look a bit too rough
2)The guys face looks really weird. Everything is unpreportional.
3)The face seems a little too long.
4)I don't really get this. Everything seems so, thing.

I like these, but they look quickly drawn. Better luck next time.

Hi there! Firstly I love manga and these pictures are packed to the brim with potential. The first picture is incredible and it looks absolutely perfect I have no question about that one at all the girls is also great. The others need a tiny bit of work but I think they are very good!
