Last art upload for the day :) Whew!
I'm actually quite proud of this one because I think I learned a lot while making it. I posted the sketch of this pic a week back and the reviews on this site have helped me immensely and gave me the push I needed to finish the darn thing. Thanks, guys! :D

Image

btw I had a real cool snow effect going on in the background, but for some reason it wouldn't save right. So just imagine some snow floating around her x)

Oh my *o* !!!

she is gorgeous! The colors are so deep and vibrant they really pop with the dark background, and the dark purple of her hair is complimented by the sea foamy color of her cloak! All I have to say is great color choices so beautiful! Agh the way they blend and the shading... O_o ... GORGEOUS! BAH! I'm rambling ^^

The only thing I see that kinda bothers me is that her hair maybe...too? Perfect? I think it would look nicer if it was looser, sort of a tousled look to make it more dramatic and give her expression more meaningful feel?

So yeah, that's pretty much all I have to say, great work!!

Hey, it's me again. I agree with the other person, the colors are very rich and vibrant, it's quite different to the stuff you usually do. They just pop at you. But i disagree about the hair. Personally i believe you have done a very good job, the hair on the right side and on the top left hand side looks very much alive, I'm loving the flicks and the coloring. I'm a perfection freak so i very much like your hair. Good job!

The cloak is my favorite part, the coloring is meticulous, as is the coloring on the rest of the piece. but the bottom of the hood needs more definition, hoods like that don't really sit like that. They go further in, frame the face a little more, the right side is not the best the left alright. Make sure it look like it would work in real life. I like the facial features, but you seem to rely a lot on line, more detailed shading would be good. Don't be afraid of noses, tackle them head on!

Anyway great work!

Okay, so I'm back to review another one of your pieces!

And first off, I must say that once again, the colour is absolutely beautiful! Even the skin tone, which is well shaded, has tones of orange and even the purples and reds in her hair which I absolutely adore. You have an eye for colour of which most people don't think to much about.

What I really liked about this piece, other than the aforementioned, is the features of her face, how the hood drapes, and the lovely black you chose for the background with just a small patch of light. These artistic choices were well placed so I give you props for that.

What I will critique you on is the strange neckline and the lower shoulder/bust-line. Its wonky in its proportions, even for the anime stylization you seem to favour in your works. Try making the neck a little less curvy and add a fine collarbone. It would make it look like she is a little older, and it'll really give this piece the look I'm sure you were going for.

Another thing I think you should add would be a necklace. You have a lot going on with her face and hair and whatnot yet theres a pretty big gap before he bustline. If you choose to keep it nude, give her the collarbone she needs. If not, a necklace should suffice if you are trying for a younger look.

Lastly, shoulders are a little more broad than that. You have them so they are rounded, and the arms seem very oddly placed where the are. Try giving them a little more shape than what is shown here.

Other than that, I really liked this piece so keep it up and I'm sure you'll have a lovely piece soon enough!

I've started to notice some common errors in your art, as great as the peices may be.

The hair looks like it is not connected. I feel as if it was copy and pasted in by some person with photoshop.

The eyes are WAY to big for the face. Tone them down a bit. Sure they are beautiful, but they are not the main focus.

Where is the chin? You really need to start adding chins.

Absolutely gorgeous!

The only things I can pick out though, would be the hairline is virtually nonexistent. Try to make some strands connect to the head to create a visible hairline. The eyes are fine, as I can see this is anime and in anime the eyes should be large.

The neck, however is much too long and a little bit too thick.

I love to colours, though. They're truly beautiful and they stand out quite well.

Well, my work is done here, keep drawing and keep progressing in skill!

You will go far, trust me on that.

Hey.
So this will be a quick reply.
It's cool and I love her eyes. I can feel the emotion, but it's not that intense. However it's beautiful.
About the snow..um, yeah I can picture that. But I would really love to see that. Convince me.
All in all, cute picture. Keep it up. :)
You've got the key to my heart..but have you forgotten about a duplicate?
Sorry. I've already given it to someone else.

Hello~

I feel like I've been neglecting all your works recently, and i'd been meaning to review this for a while but I guess I ended up forgetting ... =/

It's really easy to see how your skills with corel are getting better; the shading and colouring with this is really neat and looks much more precise than on any of your previous ones =] The hair especially is very well shaded; I have no idea what kind of brush you used but the texture makes it look just like real hair...! (Well, except for the colour haha)
The expression is always really good (and it's something I struggle with so I want to steal your expressions >.<) and all of her features are so cute and perfectly drawn :smt003

The only thing that is a bit weird on this is the way her hood meets at her neck - I have said this before but look at fabric in real life/through references to see how it works!! (Sorry for these weird examples) But hopefully they help a little bit? Basically the fabric needs to meet in the middle, whether pulled together by a clasp/brooch or tied together at the ends; it shouldn't just fall dead straight by itself xD

Other than that minor issue (which should hopefully be helped by the pictures? Sorry, I'm too busy/lazy atm to explain it by drawing an example for you so I google-attacked instead >.<) this is really really good and I'm gonna carry on stalking you 'cause I know you haven't uploaded anything in a while D<
