And you,
and you,
and you my friend?

You too betray me?
You too stab me?

My greatest friend now my
greatest enemy
I bleed for I have nothing left.

You too my friend have fallen
for what others say.
For what they feel towards me.

For what hatred fills them.

And you my friend?
My brother,
my ally,
the other I fully
placed my sanity in.

You have dealt the blow
which kills me.
You,
and no one else.

You,
my brother are my
destroyer.

The one I held closest
caused my disintegration,
my destruction
and my madness.

What secrets I told you became
the dagger by which you killed
me with.

My past,
in your hands
was my heart pierced,
my life gone,
my very essence drained of all hope.

Who now is left?
Who can I turn too?

With your treasonous act
all promise of Utopia
is gone.

With your barbarism towards one
who lifted you up when
you were at your lowest states
there is no promise of good,
that all secrets are non-secrets
and truth is false.

Trust is fake
and all we know of
promise is nothing.

As treachery is used once
so shall it be used again,
for reasons unknown and
unimportant

For treason,
treachery,
tricker--betrayal
by any name will be the
end of all humanity if who
we care for most,
with whom we share the deepest
essence of our souls continue
this path.

And you my friend are the cause,
for by one single act you foretell
what is to come.

I feel like this has true potential and a lot of emotion behind it. I would like to see more clarity and emotion rather than description of the dastardly deed, however. Well done.

Thanks for the comment. Sorry if there wasn't more clarity, but this was something that was just pounding in my head and I had to get it out. I imagined yelling this to a former friend of mine for something I wish not to speak about. Also I was kind of thinkning on the terms of Julius Caesar,
Y tu Brute
.

---> For me, this one was well written! :)

---> The message was clear in this poetry, about losing a friend, a friend's betrayal. Keep up the good job and we might meet again, my comrade :)
Every day is beautiful with a little arm stretch and a smile :)

I have lived through much, and now I think I have found what is needed for happiness. A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good... then rest, nature, books, music, love for one's neighbor - such is my idea of happiness.
