How do you make a word tell a story
Of a unexplained murder
Or a thrilling adventure
How do you make a syllable
Shout a proclamation of love
Or bellow in a searing anger
A writer has the ability to make words
Screech and murmur
Whisper and bellow
Cry and laugh,
A skill of few
And a wish of many

Hi Flyaway, welcome to YWS!

How do you make a word tell a story
Of a unexplained murder
Or a thrilling adventure?
How do you make a syllable
Shout a proclamation of love
Or bellow in a searing anger?
A writer has the ability to make words
Screech and murmur
Whisper and bellow
Cry and laugh,
A skill of few
And a wish of many

I think that you have the potential to be a good writer, but I think you could have thought of something better to write about, sorry. It did not grip me at all, it was a little choppy, and I think that when you write poetry like this, it should be much deeper work. But keep writing! If you have any questions you can PM me, and you can request a review from me by the link below.
I hope you enjoy your time at YWS!

I liked your poem, it raises a good point. Not everyone can write a poem or a story, it's a talent. I thought you got your point across nicely despite the fact that it was relatively short. Good job. You may want to add some more punctuation to your poem to add more structure. But overall, I though it was well done and I enjoyed reading it.

Alright so this wasn't bad. I really like the theme of this, it's really cute :) Short and sweet. Of course though, there's not much to critique... but I liked the way you captured it aw a whole, only I feel as if something is missing. I cannot explain the feeling :? but maybe it's only me. It was good!
Keep on writing!

Hey, I liked this poem. It has a very good point. Not everone has the ability to write good stories/poems, you're one of the ones that have it. Keep writing! :D
