I just learned cinquain poetry from our home room teacher. It is a 5-line non-rhyming diamond shaped poem that uses a syllable count of 2-4-6-8-2. Line 1: noun (serves as title). Line 2: two adjectives. Line 3: three gerunds. Line 4: eight syllabic phrase. Line 4: noun (summing up what what the poem's about).

I remember this back in the day. very nice little piece. Simplistic and real keep it up, you manage to capture the style and feel without seeming manipulative. Well done!
