Cry

I drew this straight from my tablet- no scanning. I tried to use the same long, sweeping line style from the Vampire Knight manga. Let me know what you think.

Wow... that's really cool, she looks so sad. But, considering the name, I guess she's supposed to.

Ooh, I thought that the style was kind of familiar... Do you like your tablet? I've been thinking about getting one, but most of them are expensive... Anywho, I like this, but I have a couple nit-picks:

1. The top of the hair seems too elongated. Maybe it's just because you didn't draw the very top that I get this feeling...

2. I don't really get a sense of her neck in this drawing... It's kind of there and kind of not there... It's okay for her not to have a neck, but the in-between state bugs me a bit. (I say this because there's one strand of hair that appears, at first glance, to be the line that signifies the right side of her neck. However, there is no line like that on the left side.)

My only problem with this one is that the head is a little too big, the forehead. I realize most manga and anime style things do that, but this one seems to be a little bit too much still. The eyes were once again really good and the hair was nice. It's just a little bit too much forehead. Other than that its good =]]

I've seen this one on here a few times before and never really got a chance to really look at it. and now that i have i realize there's not really anything wrong with it at all. Darn. The only thing that really kinda got to me was the fact that there's no neck or shoulders.

other than that i love how simple it is, which really compliments the strong emotion you're trying to convey to us here. And I personally don't think her head or forehead is too big at all. If anything you may want to ad more "volume" to her hair so it doesn't look so thin. Maybe a touch of shading too, but honestly that's just what i would do, it's great the way it is.

Very nice. It does look as if she is about to cry. There's a lot of emotion in the eyes which is very important for the message you are trying to portray. It's time to be (drum roll for my new favorite word) nitpickedy. I lost the neck! I see left side, but I lost the right. Also, the hair seems a little thin, but that may be due to the lack of color. And finally, the head. I hate to be harsh, but to put it bluntly, it has the shape of a pear. Maybe if you rounded it down a bit, it wouldn't look so abnormal, but that's just me.

Your line-work is always flawless, and this is no exception. I wish I had this kind of talent to make these kinds of lines! The hair flows like a river, and it frames the face perfectly. Need I say more?

What deep, soul-staring eyes! I feel like I could stare into them all day and still not reach the end! I love how the ink on the eyes is really thick, in contrast to the really thin lines of the rest of the piece. I can really see the emotion there, likes she could burst into tears at any minute. Well done!

BlackSheep, you're one of the best artists I've ever seen. You consistently produce wonderful artwork, and I'm so glad that I get to keep reviewing it! I hope I'm not getting too annoying, haha. Anyway, can't wait to see what you do next!

Oh, I really liked this! You seem to be very talented, because this looks amazing.
I just have a few remarks:

-Have you noticed that the left eyes (her left, not yours ) is bigger than the right eye? Also, they're not drawn on the same level, I think. That happens to me a lot too!!

-The left side of her jaw (Again, her left) is not drawn in a straight line as it should be. Can you see it? It's a little wavy. Try to fix that, if you wish.

The top of her head is too... tall. Do you know what I mean? The lines of her head didn't end when it was supposed to, so it looks a little strange.

I do love the hair! Your lines are very flexible, which is the most important characteristic in drawing in general and not only manga. I just loved it, seriously. Good job!

I love seeing most of your work here in this forum. This is a really nice sketch, I'd love it colored. Her facial expression seems to be very well made, I love her hair too, well-sketched. The slants on the upper and lower side of the sketch gives it a really nice comic/manga feel. The only think that I feel isn't that right is her neck, it just seems to be too long, unless that's your style, then I totally dig it. Her eyes are LOVELY!
