Heya, wow I am totally clueless about this. I can just make a thread to introduce myslef right? Finding the website a little bit confusing but there we go, even facebook was confusing at first. Okay well, hey i'm new. My names Cat and I really enjoy writing even though right now I'm a little rusty.

Welcome to YWS!

YWS can be a little confusing and overwhelming when you first join, but soon you'll find your way around it fairly easily I find the two main things when you first start on YWS is the "My YWS" tab (which has your profile and settings--things like that) and the "Discover Works" tab (which has all the stories, poems etc. posted by fellow YWS members--and you can review there as well).

There's also many fun things around here, too. We have Storybooks (RPGs), Clubs/Pages which are very similar to Facebook pages and Blogs. You can read other blog entries by YWS members as well as create your own blog if you want, but it's not mandatory.

The Community tab, as you've already found, holds information and tips about writing and games.

I really hope you like YWS. Drop me a line or preferably mods if you want by PM or leaving a note on their wall.

Welcome to YWS!!! We're glad to have you. I'm fictionfanatic and I've been a member on here for quite some time now, so if you have any questions, want some advice, want a review, or just want to talk feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll be happy to help.

I have to admit that I still don't even know everything on here. Haha.

But a good way to interacte with other YWSers is by doing Storybooks. They're a lot of fun and you cna get pretty close with people. There's actually one that's accepting new characters now - it's called Demi Gods I think, or somehting like that.

It definitely can be confusing at first. You are right about that. But you learn quickly, especially since everyone I've met on the site has been exceptionally friendly and willing to help. I'm glad you posted here. It's a great place to learn, make new friends, and learn more about the site. All I can say is, experiment! That's the best way to learn.

A bit rusty, huh? I know how you feel. YWS really revitalizes your writing skills. It definitely did for me.

One of the best ways to meet and socialize with other users is to join a club. Or two. Or as many as you want, in fact. Check some of them out! There're some pretty cool ones out there.
