Hieroglyphs

Broken, shattered, like a page smeared
with ink, a heap of ravaged words, a
crystal ball, falling into the eternal desert,
a prophecy and broken glass. Smash this
window, your mallet shall detonate in
your face. A fire lit, and a single shard
floating down upon the sand.

Betrayal, and a lethal idiosyncrasy,
a flying dagger, thrown like a Frisbee,
down, down, upon these books.
Oracles stabbed in darkness, bodies
falling silently into the heat. This organ
plays softly, louder, louder: it shall be
unstrung within your gaze, until Ra deems it
trustworthy and your tomb awaits beneath.

These hieroglyphs glow softly.
Then there is silence.

This is really good. I'm not great at poetry, but I know this was a good one. I think the last line adds the final touch of effect to the piece. Anyways, sorry for the short reply. Keep writhing your heart out. Great job, love. :D

Alrighty.
This is going to be a shorter review than normal, but a review all the same.

As I said earlier today, try to use something other than a comma to separate everything and work on your sentence structure. Other than that.. I honestly have nothing to say. Your diction in this is pretty freakin amazing, and I think this is my favorite piece by you. Very original, very well-written. I will physically clap for you when I type *clapclapclap* on the screen.

'Tis the season to shovel enormous amounts of watermelon into your mouth while hunched over the cutting board like a dehydrated vampire that hasn't fed on blood in four hundred years and the only viable substitute is this questionable Christmas-colored fruit.
