Birds are the food of the nobility. To eat a flying thing is to command mastery of not only earth, but sky as well. I have never eaten a bird, and I never will, because I am a merchant's daughter.

It changes every day, you know? Some days, just doesn't pay to get outa bed, an' I regret runnin' away an' getting caught up in this crashed war. Other days, I regret not bein' able to save Sandor. Saw 'im get run through with a knife, an' I stood there like a great teapot an' let him bleed all over the floor. Crash. Guess you never let yourself off about these things, eh?
