“This,” she said, her blue eyes shining with tears, “is your fault. You can’t take back what you said, you can’t apologize enough times, you didn’t even realize the effect of your actions.”

He stood there, his face wrought with emotion he could not display.

She continued, “I guess I can’t blame you. As I said, you didn’t realize, didn’t see, didn’t care. Or if you did… Well now. That’s so highly unlikely, I feel stupid even saying it out loud. As for the number of times that thought ran through my head, it only caused hurt and anguish. Not a feeling of stupidity. Saying things out loud forces you to harshly compare them to reality and you suddenly see how wrong you’ve been all along.”

He had slipped down the wall and was crouching, clutching his knees.

“You used me,” her voice echoed around the room.

He wished his heart had a mouth, so it could use the words that his brain seemed incapable of finding, the words needed to explain. Explain everything.

“You need to see that it’s too late now. I don’t want you to have to ever see me again, or I you. So I’m leaving. Do not try to follow me or contact me. It’s done. Over.”

He gaped at her, and whispered, “What?”

“Goodbye.”

The screen closed and he was left staring at his wallpaper again. The picture seemed like it had been taken a few lifetimes ago. She was smiling, her face was not tear stained and distraught like he had just seen it.

He had loved her.

But he had no words to say it.

Goodbye had already been said.

She was gone.

There was no going back.

Hello, Bridgette! I shall be your reviewer person today. n.n

First of all, welcome to YWS! I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do. :D

This is well written! It's short, but it gets to the point. I think it could be really epic if you added more details about the surroundings, background information, stuff like that. You might have meant for it to be left a mystery though, and if so, that's cool. I like all the paragraph breaks at the very end. It grabs the reader's attention. I want to know what this guy did to this girl! So great job leaving me at a cliff hanger too (might I add that I love cliff hangers though they frustrate me in a good way? xD). I only found one thing that I would correct:
You can’t take back what you said. You can’t apologize enough times. You didn’t even realize the effect of your actions.”

I put periods in red where I would put them. I think it could technically be either way, but this is my opinion.

Oh, yes! And I have a question:
The screen closed and he was left staring at his wallpaper again. The picture seemed like it had been taken a few lifetimes ago.

So was he video chatting with her on the computer? I just got a little confused there....

Keep up the great writing! C:

Please forgive me if I over-edit anything of yours.

Hello, fellow writer. I'm a new member too and hope you feel as fantastic as I do about this site.
Okay, about the story, I'd be dishonest if I said I didn't go crazy at the end. Yes, it was pretty much filled with tension and I think that's a positive feeling when reading a short story.
I liked that there wasn't much conversation between the two but that somebody was speaking. I don't like reading stories where there's no dialog at all. So, in my view, you made a good job with that. I also liked the mystery. I really wondered what that guy did with that girl. Good job with that to.
The things that I would do to improve this would be maybe add some descriptive detail. You see, there's maybe enough to show me some movements but I don't know what the characters look like, what the background looks like so I can't imagine the scene properly. I read somewhere that it is always better to show rather than tell. Also, giving the characters names wouldn't be bad although I don't know if it is completely necessary here.
I loved the end. Keep using short sentences - it makes your writing sound current.
All in all, completely interesting. You've got a glittery mind. Keep writing. :)
