Feelings are like
....political leaders.
(humorous)

You never know
what they will make you do.
(Including yourself)

They can make you
pay money.
(Like taxes)

They make you
say untrue things.
(I did not have sexual intercourse with that woman)

You might even wake up
to find a political leader in your bed.
(Because of feelings.)

How silly
stay away
(from political leaders)
from feelings.
(especially the ones for political leaders)

Can you tell I got bored. Feedback please haha!
My reality comes to a close as I once again realize that you don't love me, and even if I love you with my everything you will never care.

Heheh, so true. This poem made me giggle just for the fact that it was indeed a humorous poem that made some funny, yet obvious points, like the part about lying. Loved it! But, of course, I do have a few things I'd like to address due to some confusion felt reading.

Feelings are like
....political leaders.
(humorous) I'm not quite the fan of the dots (...) in poetry. Although they do present an appropriate pause for the line, I just don't like them there. But that's just me. Although it might help if you kept it down to only three dots (...). Three is for interjections and four is for ending sentences. I did like the humorous part though. It kind of made me think a little. Politicians are humorous, aren't they? They do some of the funniest things that in all retrospect weren't very good for their careers.

You never know
what they will make you do.
(Including yourself) This part confused me some. Are they making you do yourself? To me, that's what it read like, but I'm pretty sure that's not what you're going after.

How silly
stay away
(from political leaders)
from feelings.
(especially the ones for political leaders) Love it!

Really funny poem all around. I will admit, however, that it wasn't exactly written extremely poetically, but for it's purpose, it made me laugh and I think it's good for that. A little tip for humorous poems that might help is to maybe write them with more of a rhyme scheme and flow/pattern, When people typically read a humorous poem, they usually expect it to rhyme and maybe even have a tune (though not all the time). Just an idea, though, really.

Feelings are like
....(I feel those periods could have been taken out and had the passage be just as effective)political leaders.
(humorous)

You never know
what they will make you do.
(Including yourself)
(The above and below stanzas felt really off rhythm-wise)
They can make you
pay money.
(Like taxes)

They make you (This one felt off too...)
say untrue things.
(I did not have sexual intercourse with that woman) (Oh dear, I lol'd!)

You might even wake up (This stanza was also off)
to find a political leader in your bed.
(Because of feelings.) (I really like this line and how simple it is)

How silly (Rhythm feels off again...)
stay away
(from political leaders) (clever aside there...)
from feelings.
(especially the ones for political leaders)

All in all, I really liked this poem and thought it was clever and humorous, however, the rhythm feels off throughout, and, while disconcerting, does not detract (too much) from the poem as a whole.

For something written while you were bored, this was really good!

Hahaha. This poem made me laugh. Comparing feelings with political leaders is certianly a new way to look at it. I also like your use of parentheses. And I'm too lazy to do a real review (not that this really requires one). So yeah. Great job. :)

With all the force of a great typhoon,
With all the strength of a raging fire,
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon.

Hey, Flow. :)

My reviews for you are getting shorter and shorter... xD I really don't think I'm going to be much help here. This is quite a quirky poem, so I'm not sure how I'm planning on reviewing it. I'm d enough at reviewing poetry as it is. I swear this is going to be a one paragraph review or something... I'm terribly sorry.

Anyway, I liked this. It's so true too! I think it's an interesting comparison actually. You know, the whole politicians and feelings being connected to each other. It's clever how you've linked their similarities. Like I said above, I seriously am not going to be able to help you on this. There's only one critique I can come up with, and it's a suggestion anyway. God, I suck at reviews like this.

What I'd basically like to see in this is... well, more of it, I guess. Maybe you could add in some imagery? At the moment, you kind of like have a subject and you leave it at that. You don't go into any depths. Does that make any sense? I'd like for you to take the poem a step further. Add to it, I suppose. You have something really nice here, but I do think you could expand on it. You've written some wonderful poem in your time, Flow, so I'd love to see you raising this one to some of their standards, not that this is at all bad though. Don't get me wrong. ;) I just know you can make more out of this.

It turns out I was right. This review's been useless... I'm so sorry, I really am...! Ask me to review fiction more often; I'm better at that. xD

Keep writing,

xoxo Skins
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

The wince that you wince when you see your quote in the quote generator is quite a wince, I tell ya. To know that the whole YWS community has read and judged your quote is quite an awkward feeling like oh noes. *manly blush*
