This is my first try to draw my hand doing the 'OK' gesture, be harsh i want to improve in this XD By the way i was inspired by Baywolfs work, if you want you can check it out here. --> viewtopic.php?t=73671 <----- now for my work.. Crap how do I upload this thing... -.-' Ok got it XD (thank you Persephoneia)
There is no good and evil, there's just perspective
This is good! Hands are ridiculously difficult to draw, and I've struggled with them in the past myself.
Now, some tips:
I can tell that you've drawn how you THINK hands are supposed to look. To really capture hands especially, you need to draw what you SEE, not what you KNOW. This means, instead of looking at the lines, look at the shadows. A good way to practice this type of seeing for drawing is to ONLY shade while you draw. Never draw any definite lines. Just shade. Have you ever seen the drawings of a single ball, just shaded? That's what this is about. Definite lines that people draw are just the darkest shadows, but when you only draw those, it loses the ability to look three dimensional. To really add in a dose of reality to this hand, shade. Draw exactly what you SEE.
Another thing:
character. This is a pretty generic hand. Now, while this may seem ridiculous advice, because hands are hard to draw enough, what about the CHARACTER of the hand? How is this one unique? You could add in some more details like a callous from writing on the middle finger, maybe some wrinkles or something. Just a though.
Last thing:
finger length. Fingers obviously vary in length, but that element seems lacking in this drawing. Granted, it can really difficult to capture that when you have bent fingers, but I would at least make the pinkie finger and middle finger differently size. Just another thing to think about.
Again, this is well done. Hands are INCREDIBLY challenging to draw. But, with enough practice, they can be perfected. (Not that I have!)
I like it, you've added good detail to it. Though I think more shadding is needed. Normally if I try to draw hands I look at my own in the ways i'd like it to be draw and lightly sketch it out many times before to perfect the shape. I really like this though
LilySoulMahon and Persephoneia have pretty much said it all, with the shading and such.
Being ridiculously horrid at drawing myself, I do think you have talent, and if you follow the advice you get and keep drawing, you can become more amazing then you already are!

There's only one way to say those three words that's what I'll do. Ooh, I love you. "
This is pretty good for a hand. The proportions are a little off, though, as is the shading and positioning. The hand is slightly misshaped too, which leads me to believe you drew this hand from a clouded memory.
Now to start off, the pinky and ring finger are too long. The ring finger is longer than the middle finger, when it should be around the length of the index finger. The pinky is about the size the ring finger should be. Now, if the proportions are correct, the length between the ring finger and middle finger doubled, if taken away from the length of the ring finger, should be about the length of the pinky. This is really hard to explain, so try looking at your hand and piecing together my words.
Work on transitioning your shading. Right now it looks like dark shading that just cuts off, randomly. Now the positioning of the OK sign...well, I just think the fingers should be more...fanned out behind the hand, if you know what I mean.
The shape is too curved, as though there aren't actual knuckles, or like the bones themselves are curved. Between each section of the finger, The way you rounded the space reminded me of doodle clouds. Too...round. Out there. Not nearly subtle enough.
Anything you did wrong with your hand can be easily fixed if you use your hand as a reference, and look at it every so often while you're drawing.
Hope I helped! ~Annie
By the way, I'll finish that other thing probably today. Definitely before the weekend is over.

If am honest I'm not sure I like this. I'm not s great artist so I can't say this is bad, this is pretty epic compared to my work but as I think the hand is too..false. It looks like it's made out of rubber! There's something about it that just.. Is way to inhuman, it's like you could monkey crap it and stretch it until it snapped. I guess what makes me thinks this is how round the hand seems to be.
As I said it's a really great drawing compared to mine so I can't really talk but I'm just telling you what I think. Also what's with the eye on the top of it? When I first saw it I was like trying to figure out a secret message like.. I ok hand or ok hand I. Hehe. Stupid I know but maybe you should cut out the eye so it's a little less confusing. Not that the eye is chad or anything just looks a bit weird when were supposed to be looking at the hand.
I don't really review art a lot but I guess this is an o.k drawing. Keep going and let me see if you manage to draw a better one! XD Kaka xx
Got YWS?
If, when you mean to type yes you type yws, you know you belong.
Thanks for letting me know about this! I don't mind that you posted a link to my work, it's all cool.
As for the hand itself, I just have some advice about shading and such that might help you. What I did with mine was just hatching and cross-hatching until I got the desired amount of darkness or lightness for the skin tones. It is difficult to draw hands, and I'm not going to lie, it took me a while to get it right, but once you get the proportions down it is a lot easier. You might want to work on that first before you start shading it. I start by getting the hand outlined, then I work my way down from the thumb just drawing in the fingers. Next I do basic lines like the ones on the palms or the wrist, knuckles, etc. After that's all done I start to shade. It's easy to go overboard with shading, so you just have to always be careful about each thing you do. I think that this was a good start and I hope you keep working on it.
