Hello! New member here!

Hello all!

I am 14 years old and my star sign is Libra. I like horoscopes and learning about the universe (I have been to various planetariums, including the ThinkTank, Birmingham, and the Planetarium, Leicester). This might sound weird, but I also like reading about myths, legends, and folklore. I LOVE the Twilight Saga, but I think that the books are a lot better than the films!

My favourite genres of book include romance, and futuristic thriller, and at the moment I am reading Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte (slow going, but I WILL finish it), and have previously read the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer (<3) and the Luxe series by Anna Godbersen (which I recommend to any girl - it is like the Gossip Girl of New York 1900s and totally hooks you!). I plan to read the Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman and the Uglies by Scott Westerfield (both of which I got for Christmas). Any other book recommendations are welcome!

As for my literary work, I have entered a piece into the Red House Young Writer's Yearbook (for which I will receive information of nearer the date of publishing) and I hope I will be successful. I also plan to write a couple of novels, which are of completely different genres, one of which is a story about a 15-year-old boy with Asperger's syndrome, which I will post chapters of onto YMS. I have some great ideas, but, as always, reviews are welcome and waited for.

I hope to start posting my work on YWS as soon as possible, and I hope you like it!

Yws is a great site so I'm glad your enjoying it. Its not only a way of showing of your work but you can keep in touch with people by porfiles and private messages. If you want me to review anything of yours I surely will.

It's really nice to see someone that takes interest in the Universe. I love it too. Especially sitting outside on cold clear winter nights just staring at the stars. <3.
As long as your reading goes, very very nice for your age. You really amaze me. [ Even though I do not really like Twilight, books or movie, it's quite impressive that you've red them ].
I really want to see some of your artwork , so when you upload some on YWS please link me to them.
I hope you will like the forums as much as I do.

Welcome to YWS! I'm not a big fan of Twilight m'self, but you don't seem like an over obsessed fan who would talk about it twenty-four seven (Oh dear, this sounds meaner then intended, perhaps I should add a winky face to make it all better) . (See, much better!) I used to read my horoscope every day, I don't know what happened to that part of my morning routine... I should start doing that again. I'm a Gemini.

You should pop into chat if you ever have the chance you should come and say hello to the wonderful people of the chat room. We're a bit insane, but it's a good insane. -Insert I would know face-. I hope you enjoy your time on the site, I just know you will.

You don't HAVE to post stories and work here, but that's really what the site's for and everyone here loves everyone else's work, so why not? To post work, click on the 'submit' button and follow the directions.

If I'm not online or for any other reason, make sure to go to the YWS chat... which is basically chatting live with YWS'ers around the world. To get there, go to the YWS homepage and scroll down until you see the "Enter YWS chat room" button and click on that). One...warning... YWS'ers are very enthusiastic about new members. When you go into chat and say you're new, you will either be greeted by a dead chat (happens occasionally) or a billion people pouncing over each other to meet you.

(Another note- YWS'ers are extriemely sarcastic and we often talk about hurting each other in good fun. Just roll with it XD)

First... you're awesome. Congrats for joining this amazing place!

Lastly... If you like/love the Twilight Series, then you MUST MUST MUST read The Hunger Games Triology (The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay in that order!!) by Suzanne Collins. Read it, and you will be close to dying with happiness. I sure did:)

I hope that you really enjoy YWS. It's a great site and there is a ton of options. If you get bored with the site you can go to the storybooks and there is always one that you will like. I hope you like the site.
