A simple and dark poem about a lover and his dieing love. Enjoy and comment:
Knight in the Night
Now let us say what we must say
‘Till Death doth take us both away
It’s the hand of your fears
That grips your heart and brings the tears
All too real
All too real
You are a sick and withered tree
But it’s only real if you want it to be
Open your eyes darling
Can’t you hear the singing?
All too quiet
All too quiet
Your fate is a shattered mirror
Only fragments of night are clear
But there is a butterfly inside
Waiting to burst out and fly
All too late
All too late
Your scream is his symphony
He has waited to torture thee
But into the darkness you go
Just to hide from your shadow
All too dark
All too dark
But I have come for my love
And I do not bow to Death
Now let him say what he must say
‘Till Death doth seem to fade away
I am your light
Your lover
Your knight in the night
Thanks
