Kirsty couldn't sleep, she tossed and turned, the mattress wasn't lumpy and the pillow was as soft as ever. But she knew why she couldn't sleep.
Max.
He was on her mind, she wanted to know why he is always off with her, but there was another reason he was on her mind and she couldn't think why. Her mobile buzzed and she rolled over moaning when the light shone in her face, it was Rob again. She closed her mobile not being bothered to look at the text. She felt tired yet she couldn't sleep and Max played like a song stuck on replay through her mind until she dozed off.
Kirsty struggled to stay awake in English literature her head kept hitting the table a few times,
"Kirsty Poole, is my lesson boring you?" Kirsty head shot up at the sound of her name
"Hm. Oh. No sir not at all ..." Kirsty stopped to yawn "i just didn’t sleep well"
"Well wake your self up now!" Mr Blunt carried on with his speech and Kirsty's head hit her table again with a groan
"Pssst" Kirsty turned her head towards the sound, her friend Bea Hanley was leaning over her single desk; she nudged a can of coke into Kirsty's leg
"It’ll wake you up!"
"I hate fizzy drinks!" Kirsty hissed towards Bea
"It will wake you up though" Bea nudged it into Kirsty's leg once more
"Fine" Kirsty snatched the can and pretended to cough when she opened it, Mr Blunt turned around to the board and Kirsty too a swig and spluttered and chocked. She had the class's whole attention
"Pass it to me!" Mr Blunt bellowed, Kirsty looked to Bea for reassurement but Bea looked away quickly. Kirsty stood but and all heads followed her as she handed the can to Mr Blunt
"Think your self lucky there's no detention" He hissed and Kirsty returned to her seat.
Kirsty sat in the 'chill out' room on a giant beanie bag flicking through last weeks view of 'hello' Max walked in and Kirsty covered her face with the magazine but Max ignored her silly childhood mood and came over. He pulled up and a chair
"Hey" he said Kirsty head twitched tempting her to look at him
"Hi" Kirsty said in the gruffest voice she could do
"Sorry about hanging up on you last night i was just a bit busy" he said lowering his voice so Kirsty could hear his excuse
"Didn’t know you did" Kirsty lied, she lowered her magazine to look at him
"Kirsty hi" both Kirsty and Max's heads flicked towards the door and Rob was standing their, his shoulder length blonde hair and his green eyes stood out the most. As he came over Max moved his chair he was always uncomfortable around any of Kirsty's mates he seemed fine when he was around his mates Josh and Dom, Rob completely blanked Max out. He was in the background smoothing out his summer brown hair
"Hi Robert" Kirsty said putting on a full on smile
"I was wondering if you could go town tomorrow." Rob sat down on the floor next to Kirsty
"I think I’m free" Max coughed lightly
"But ... i have to go shopping for Annabelle's party i can meet you after though" Kirsty said quickly
"Great well i will see you then, what lesson have you got next?" Rob asked getting up
"Biology then i can go home"
"okay, well i was going to say if you have two more lesson we could grab lunch but your busy so ... maybe another time" he smiled, nodded towards Max and walked off. Max came to rejoin Kirsty
"Biology?" Max said frowning
"We have Chemistry" Max corrected her
"Well, i get the two confused, now come on then" Kirsty said getting up off the beanie bag struggling to stand up and she walked off with Max following at her heels.
Kirsty came out of her house the snow that had snowed last night had frozen over and made it slippy for her to walk on; she clutched her twenty pound not in her hands and placed her ear muffs on. She jogged slightly to the end of her road and turned the corner quickly only to bump into Max
"I said meet me at the co-op not the end of my road!" Kirsty said rubbing her head where they had bumped
"You took too long i wasn't going to wait to freeze my butt off was i?" Max gave her a sorry hug and they started to walk to the bus
"I've only got twenty pounds to spend so i don't think i will get much" Kirsty said thrusting the twenty under Max's nose
"i know a great place it's called Ruby's, it's got jewellery and dance clothes for cheap, my mum used to go there" Max said, they got the bus stop and he leaned on the stand while Kirsty sat down. Snow lightly began to fall and Kirsty wrapped her coat around her more
"You should of said you were cold" Max said taking his coat off, but Kirsty shook her head
"Have you got collage tomorrow?" Kirsty stuttered
"No, I’m free why?" he came and sat down next to Kirsty hoping his body heat would warm her
"Do you want to do something after i go to the gym?" Kirsty turned her head to look at him
"Yeah alright" Max answered smiling, the bus pulled up with a groan and an old couple got off beaming big smiles and holding hands. Kirsty nodded to them as if to say hello and the old man waved and walked off with his wife. Kirsty got on and gave the bus driver two fifty
"three forty now love" the bus driver said sticking his hand out for the extra eighty pence, Kirsty dug deep into her pocket and she couldn't find any spare change
"I haven’t got any more i thought it was still two fifty" Kirsty's voice dropped down into a sad note,
"Here" Max placed eighty pence into the bus driver's hand and then placed him money on the tray. They went to find a seat but there was only one and one in front of it so they sat down and the bus swung into motion.

The first time you said pounds I was like, twenty ponds of what? Then I realised it was money! Lol.
Anyways. I hate this kind of story but the fact that I'm actualy reading it should tell you how well its written! :P
I'm more of a science fiction, fantassy, action or mystery kind of person but I like your story, the characters are cool, and i don't get mixed up between characters liek i ususlay do when I read. :P
Keep going!

here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can home or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)
