A sweet embrace is silence.
Utter nothingness surrounding my
soul would be bliss.
No other person,
no other voice
only myself in a void,
in a reality where time
is forgotten
Where direction fades over a gray horizon,
over an infinite plain of a
mundane,
yet peaceful world.
But this reality we live in now is
its opposite.
Its flame burning eternal.
We all wish for the solace of weightlessness
of life beyond worry,
without noise
without hatred
without a flame that scorches.
Perfection lies in our minds.
That silence will be there,
in our heads,
only when we dream.
This is a poem from my new book The Dying Flame. There is a preview on my author's spotlight of it where I published it. http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/dante93 Hopefully you like this poem and it will peak your curiosity in my other work I have published and you will consider buying. Thanks.
