Well, I wrote this on the anaversary of my finding out of my girlfriend's betrayal. Enjoy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does absense make the heart grow fonder?
That's the question I'll always ponder.

What really happens to the Love?
It flies away as did Noah's dove.

I found she had another boy,
that she'd been playing me like a toy.

So, does absense make the Heart grow fonder?
Please, someone, give an answer.

This is a wonderful poem, and I'm sorry of your discovery. I truly feel the way this poem's emotions flow with the sadness and the confusion and the wonder of the question asked. I really loved the second stanza;
"What really happens to the love?
It flies away as did Noah's dove."
Those two lines were captivating and held me riveted in the poem. I believe that you could actually make this poem much longer, but it is good as it is. Overall, this is just a wonderful work x]
To fly away on gossamer wings, sheer as night's reflective glow, I would could I cradle child hecate to my breast.
