'Sup people of the world! I am Cspr--ahem, Casper--and, yes, I am a ghost of the Interwebs. It's nice to finally meet (more or less) people my age with like interests, trust me. You know why? It proves I'm not insane for having written a 60,000 word novel from age eleven to thirteen. And, no, you may not see it--its horrendous.

Otherwise, I'm not new to writing, fanfiction writing, script writing, song writing, or RPGs. You may label me as a nerd.

Other: I'm insane, I grew up where there are zombies, I'm almost an ace (never been kissed--thank goodness!), I may be slightly CDO, and I have black nailpolish on right about now. Whoope? Oh and I'm typing this on an iPod.
My SPD senses are tingling.

Hey, Cspr! Welcome to YWS, where you're free to be as crazy and creative as you wish! (without the weird stares, at least)

If you're into Scripts, click here. We have several users who love writing plays and are film majors in college, or aspiring film makers in their young years! If you're into Songwriting, click here! If you ever feel up to posting that novel of yours, we have a section for that, too!

Basically, we have forums for anything you could ever want to post here! But, since you're new to town, I'd like to let you know the ropes...

So, YWS at its simplest core prides itself in two essential things: writing and reviewing.

Writing
Up on the main toolbar, you'll find an icon labeled Submit. When you click that icon, it'll take you to a menu on which you can post your works! Feel free to post your written works on the site to get critiques, advice, or general reviews from anyone around the site! We ask that you rate your work accurately, just to avoid any mess with inappropriate age content getting delivered to the wrong person. There's a posting limit of two pieces per forty-eight hours, and each post takes 100 points to post.

Points are like a system of money on YWS--but don't be afraid; they cost nothing. To get points, you need to write Reviews on works of other YWSers!

Reviews are what keep YWS running and growing. Whenever a user posts a written work, other users review it, critique it, and comment on it, telling the user what they liked, disliked, and how they can improve. It's just a fantastic way to grow one another in our writing.

Each review gives you 50 points, so if you do your math correctly, it takes two reviews to post one written piece of your own. It may seem daunting at first, but once you get reviews on your own writing, you'll understand the beauty of the system.

The writing forums on YWS are fantastic and diverse, and give you a realm for anything that you can devise. And, if you're a fan of collaborative writing, we have our Storybook forum (which takes forever to explain!). You can find all the information regarding Storybooks Here. I think you'll be a fan of storybooks, since you like RPG's! I'm pretty familiar with that forum myself, so let me know if you have questions regarding anything there!

We also have Blog forums and Clubs that you can join, but you can discover those on your own with no problem! Of course, if you have any questions or get lost, feel free to PM me or any of the others around here, and we'll shoot you in the right direction! Or, you can visit the Information Desk to find answers to all of your questions!

See you around!

Wow. Thanks. I'll have to look into all of that! I have looked at some of it...but this iPod is going crazy so I'll wait until I can get on my computer. Insomnia--not very fun and you can't even type or you'll wake somebody up.

Anyhow, thanks again. Oh and thanks for saying it's okay to be insane. Being told you're weird on a daily basis is grating, after all...which is why you should take it as a compliment!

P.S. I love the review bit! I like giving reviews but on ff no one else seems to...eh.

Hello there Cspr!

Welcome to YWS! Have fun around here. :D
I know how it can suck typing on the iPod/phone. Haha, black nailpolish FTW!

See you around soon.

Thanks all. And I'll definitely have to post some of my stuff then... Fantasy with complex names (the book I first wrote I am now editing) or my science fiction NaNoWriMo that I haven't edited at all--just typed, typed, typed?
Eh. I'll figure it out.

And, yes, black nail polish is totally FTW. ;)

Welcome to YWS! :D Insane nerds are the best kind of people.

Ooh, your novels sound interesting. Hopefully you'll post some of them on here soon? Also, yay fanfiction! I read way more of it that I probably should. ¬¬ What fandoms do you read/write fanfic for? :)

Thanks! Oh, and I posted the first "chapter" (*coughs* preface *coughs*) of Wakefield Syndrome, my '10 NaNo.

Uh, let's see... Warriors, because the thought of being a cat is FTW, Twilight, because I enjoy making Bella lovers cry and freaking people out in general, Flight 29 Down, and the Hunger Games. I'd do Peeps as well, but they don't have a section.

How about you; you ever tried out fanfiction?

Whoops. Off to watch Zombieland with my crazy father. I'll be back...*attempts to sound Russian*

Welcome!
You will like it here,
Don't fear us,
We won't cuss,
Except in literature,
And sometimes not even then.

If you have questions,
Ask away,
We'll help you out,
If not today,
Then soon.

Eventually,
In a couple of days,
You'll feel like you've been here forever,
In a lot of ways.

So welcome,
We look forward to seeing your work,
And we're not jerks,
We'll give you good reviews,
that you can use to improve.

Welcome to YWS! :D
P.S. Sorry for the lame poem. I have not had my coffee yet.
Check these out please! :)

Idraax is wrong, we always cuss. My nickname is the swear bear on this site because even though you cannot see me, from all over the world you can hear my screams. Did you just hear that sound? Yep, that was me. Someone just stole my fany-filled whip. No worries, I a whole box filled back at home.

Anyway - I was just kidding about the cussing - you will love it here as we're so fanciful. If you do not have a pair of high heels then you shoudl go by them because not YWSer is more complete without their YWS high heels. Another thing we're known for other then writing is our excellent tap dancing.

This is our tap-dancing squad. That's me right in the front!

Everyone has basically told you everything you need to know, except out tapdancing team. Geez! How could they possibly forget that! Anyway, if you have any questions just drop by and I'll be happy to help. On my wall I mean, drop by on my wall.
I spy!

Cool! :D Yeah, I write fanfic occasionally although it tends to involve ridiculous plots like 'character A gets turned into a cat' or 'THEY'RE ALL PIRATES!' or stuff like that, 'cause... I dunno, I just like writing crack. I write Scrubs fanfic mostly because it's my favourite TV show. I have occasionally ventured onto the Twilight section of ff.net, but it terrifies me a little. XD
