Hey there, JAsh-pooh! I know I have been enormously late for this, but would you forgive me? *puppy eyes* Anyways, you have got more than reviews and I really think that I'd be of little help, but I'll try. I haven't read what others have said so I might seem repetitive.

My first point would be that you capitalize 'F' in father when you're referring to their father which is kind of weird. Weird because mostly I've read or seen father being written like this i.e. Father for the ones who are the head of the Church and it is really old-fashioned for children to say father. But as you've shown them from some other country so there they might be still in a habit of calling their father 'father' but I think they won't consider him the priestly Father. Anyways, this is one eenie-weenie thing but I wanted to say it anyways.

The thing I liked in this chapter has to be the way she had visions of how their new stepmother might treat them and it was really good to read it because this shows us the dilemma she was going through. But there was just little thought in my mind-that thinking and having thoughts like these really seems like a kiddish thing and it might even work out for teenagers(like the young teenagers), but for their age it might seem a bit of exaggeration until of course their character needs to be shown in fear or they are to be projected as innocent.

I can't point my finger on one thing but this chapter didn't really impress me like the first chapter. I am not sure if I am getting picky but neither did you chapter-2 was that good. You had set a bar for yourself in chapter-1 and I think other chapters have been comparatively below than that. But I'd still say that they're good. What I would suggest you to do is to post your chapters in small chunks so that people could be more thorough with their reviews and you could get more help. Otherwise, people(reviewers) sometimes skip out some important things unknowingly which really needs help, but the chances are low if you post in smaller parts.

One suggestion for the part one here would be that rather making her jump to conclusions of what could be attacking her, rather make her physical pain evident. Not any pain pain, but like how her breath was falling short and she was sweating all that. Besides that I really felt that the thoughts of being a mentally deranged person were overly-expressed here. I just felt that when people go through this kind of a thing they won't so easily think of themselves to be mentally sick. But rather they might try to figure what wrong was going on and if that's nor possible then they'd keep on denying any possibility like this which enters their mind. Also, generally people who come under such kind of experiences for a long time never think of being mentally mad, and it's generally others who come up with such conclusions. So, for now make her look confused and depressed. She could be trying to tell herself that all this is just hallucination of maybe the stress she's enduring after her dad's surprise wedding plans and she's alright. After more incidents like these she could go to visit a doctor. People don't say they're mad so soon. Neither they go to treatment themselves so easily.

Spoiler
The weather had started getting colder and colder the past few weeks, and I presumed that snow could start falling from the heavens any time now
.Sometimes your character talks really weirdly. Like sometimes she doesn't seem from this century and her way of talking to herself is so formal, and like the descriptions come out to be a bit forced and all. This is even one of my problems, but now I'm getting the hang of it. For example, here you didn't need to tell that snow is falling from heavens. It just makes your story a bit poetic and had it been a poem then there would have been nothing like it, but otherwise this all seems a bit clattered. You don't need to divulge so much into descriptions because this would just make it unrealistic. I hope you get what I'm talking of.

I noticed that Snowflake's dialog when they were young had wrong Grammar, and I want to ask if it was on purpose? Did you want to show them weak a bit in conversational English since they had just moved to US or something? If that's not the case then I'd suggest you to go through what you've written for her and you would find small errors like third form of verb being used with 'did', and two three more. Other than that I really don't have much to say.

By the by I have one last thing to say about the way you use your words.
Theresa looked seemingly despondent; but she tightened her lips to make it seem like she was not.
You use a lot of heavy words in normal descriptions or normal sentences, too. I don't ask you to stop it altogether but a little moderation in the tone and the way your characters speak would make your readers a bit attached with the story. Don't stop using new words, but just have a control on how, when and where to use it.

Hope this helps,
Shubhi

Shubs! Thanks so much for the review. I haven't read it yet... but the first parts. I'll have to say that, it's a rule, girl. XD When you don't use a possessive pronoun, you capitalize father and mother. I don't know if it applies to uncle aunt... etc. xD But yeah...it's a rule. No worries 'bout that.
