Scalding tears in swollen eyes
Midnight is near and not one can hear
The beating of the darkest heart.
Demon in the mirror
Behind the glass
Reaching forth with cursed screams
“Always here, watching you.”
Crooked nails gouge the eyes that cry for death.
“Always here,” it says, mouth crookedly open.
Look away from those hungry eyes.
Lies! And stories of unholy demise
“Killed your mother. Killed your father…”
Neck snaps with bone cracks.
Demon in the mirror
If you come any nearer,
Doors will creak open with ravens
Pounding on a roof
Quavered with passion of death and suicide
Embellished for the desire for another
As if sent by Lucifer,
Waiting on someone to join him.
“Always here.”
Rasps, taps, knocks, screams.
Nails, blood, hair, eyes.
Dark of night & weak moonlight.
Heavy are the eyes of deceit.
Licking wounds with a dirty tongue
scraped along rotted teeth of Israel.
Lord deliver us from this evil.
It is in the creaking of a door, creaking of a floor, finger to a trigger, curse in a curse word.
It is in the leaking of a faucet, keeping your attention and making you crazy.
It is in hate; in the demonic voice in your head saying you can kill a person.
The second being you see in the mirror sometimes that isn’t quite you; the more evil you. The one that frightens you through harmless facial expressions…
Stitched lips and sliced veins.
Satan lives tonight.
Clasp your beads tight.
Call him nearer,
face the fear.
Hello demon in the mirror.
