You're just a bird trapped in a cage,
you're just a word which can't escape a page,
you wanna fly far above the trees,
but you are limited by your own boundaries.
But never lose hope,
even if it gets really hard to cope,
collect your might
and take flight,
because today never comes again,
so jump off the train,
and take flight.
clear your boundaries,
and soar above the trees,
soar high above the mountains
and you'll be more impressive than the most beautiful fountains,
Don't worry about the rest,
it will take care of itself the best
all you have to do is take flight.

I liked the message of the poem. Just remember not all poetry has to rhyme. I feel like you were forcing the rhyme throughout the poem. Other than that it's very good!

It was great, one of the few poems that I actually kind of wanted to read. I like the message and the only thing I have to say is maybe say and a few less times, and even that I'm not so sure about. Keep on writin'

Simply beautiful. :)
You've got the key to my heart..but have you forgotten about a duplicate?
Sorry. I've already given it to someone else.

I'm going to start by saying that this was absolutely beautiful. I just have a few things to say though
NeoAnderson wrote:You're just a bird trapped in a cage,

( Here, were I've put in bold, it does seem like the rhyming was a bit forced, but it was a beautiful line altogether)
But never lose hope,
even if it gets really hard to cope,
collect your might
and take flight,
because today never comes again,
so jump off the train,
and take flight.
(Again, in the bold, I don't know if the repetition, the second use of flight seems to falter with the flow)
clear your boundaries,
and soar above the trees,
soar high above the mountains
and you'll be more impressive than the most beautiful fountains,
Don't worry about the rest,
it will take care of itself the best
all you have to do is take flight.

Other than those few things this was an absolutely brilliant work of art. You're very creative and I hope to see more from you.

The message behind the poem was beautiful,
not to mention the poem itself was worded beautifully.
I have no criticism well done
