I stepped into the pool of moonlight and curled up in my shell,
breathing in scents of night, starlight and human
Lilies danced fervently in the wind, as if they were enduring hell;
their petals clashed, just like swords did in battle.
Voices sang and spoke, cutting away the peace -
sounds of war, the stench of cruelty and pictures of red.
Ghosts and demons walked and raged like stormy seas;
no matter how much you try to subdue them, they won't stay dead.
I stepped across the fields and watched the world unfold.
Being able to embrace everything; it was as if I had wings.
I could've flown across deserts of time to look for you,
but for now, I have to wade in myself and look for the answers
and the reasons of my sins;
keys to my rebirth,
keys to an uncertain tomorrow.
