Hi.

I feel weird responding to this so soon, but I drank coffee for some foolish reason and thus can't fall asleep, so I might as well respond, huh?

I write anything that comes into my head, but with my style, I tend to reveal the plot verrrry slowly. Most of the time they're thriller-ish with a surreal edge.

I prefer prose, but I have written poems before. I just don't have the kind of precision required for good poetry, though.

I'll read anything with a decent story and high-quality writing, but my favorite books (Kafka on the Shore, One Hundred Years of Solitude) have a surreal (or as some lit-nerds prefer, "magical") quality to them.

My favorite animals are star-nosed moles.
Just kidding, those are ugly. I like dogs. Generic, I know, but my favorites are on the smaller side. I have a pet schnauzer.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about welcome mats, hahaha. It's always irked me for some reason.

And thanks for the offer! I'll be sure to post my writing soon.

Welcome to YWS! (the best site ever in my opinion. You probably don't think that right now, but hopefully later on you'll see it the way I see it xP)

You're bound to make some awesome friends on this site as your progress. I personally am so glad I found this website as I just love to write, it is my passion. I have improved in my writing quite a bit because of this site, so it's awesome. If you have questions or worries you can Private Message (PM) me. If it's something more serious you can PM a moderator. They are the green members (you'll see what I mean). This site is actually very easy to navigate around, when I first joined there wasn't really a time when I felt totally lost. But if you ever do, like I said, PM me!

Now that all of that important stuff it out of the way, what about you? I know that pinkangel covered most of the important questions, but there are still a few other ones that could be answered. For example, who are you favourite authors? Or, Why do you enjoy writing? Well, that's a bit of a tricky question, you don't have to answer that.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know how to pronounce my username either. It's just some lyrics from a song I like. My avatar, likewise, is the cover art to my favorite album. And I'm glad I'm not the only welcome mat dissenter .

At first I was confused getting around the site but I think I have the hang of it now. Quite cool, from what I've seen.

My favorite author is Haruki Murakami, and likewise, my favorite book is Kafka on the Shore. They're both pretty cool, the latter is pretty bizarre though. I mean it in the best way possible, obviously.

I write because...I don't know. Sometimes when I go to sleep at night I can't because I'm imagining stories, so I guess I do it to clear my head. If that makes sense.
