Writers block.
A dreaded period of time for every writer.
We fear it,
And undeniably hate it.
It does the impossible,
Turning our worst nightmares,
Into a reality.
Ruthlessly stopping creativity in its tracks.
Destroying any spark of a decent thought,
Making it unthinkable for an idea to ignite.
You never know when it can come,
Or when it will go.
But you do know,
When it arrives,
It will frustrate you.
Sending your mind into insanity.
Does it realize, it's the reason,
For all those crumpled pieces of paper?
No.
Does it realize, it's the reason,
You're screaming at an empty page?
No.
Does it realize, if it were a person,
You'd probably kill it?
No.
Do you still wish,
With every ounce of your being,
That it would go to hell?
Yes.
