Hi. I'm Kayla. I'm a 15 year old poet. I wan't people to read my poems. Because right now nobody does. I want people to critique my poems. Because right now nobody does. So that's why I came here. This seems like a really friendly place and you all seem like really nice people. So since I can only upload two poems today, please visit my blog http://www.listenlistenup.blogspot.com and read/comment on my poems. It would mean the world to me. Thank you
Hello Kayla, and welcome to YWS! We're a fun-loving community, and our members will be more than happy to read your poems and give constructive (and often detailed) feedback for you.
Before you start posting anything, I'd suggest visiting a few places first to get the hang of things here: --There's the YWS FAQ. --Snoink's Welcome Page for new members. --Interested in groups? They can be found here. --Last, but certainly not least, there's the community forums, located here!
Keep in mind that we have a 2:1 policy. That is, for every one post you make (uploading a poem/story/etc) we encourage you to review two pieces of someone else's work in return. It keeps things here at YWS fair, and is also a great way to meet new people and make new friends!
Now! You want to get known, and we want to get to know you! So, it's time to break the ice! What's your... --favorite color? --favorite game (sports/board/video/etc)? --favorite type of food (Mexican, Italian, etc)?
Well, that should be enough to get you started. Again, welcome to YWS! Feel free to PM me if you need any further help, or if you get lost. ~Firefly
"Have I ever told you the story about how our kingdom was nearly torn apart by greed and betrayal? No? Well then gather 'round, my children, and let Ol' Nan tell you about the Legends of Arenthul." ~Naneria
Hey! I'd like to also welcome you to YWS! Swimming is my favorite sport too. It's not much of a spectator sport, but it's awesome anyways. Good luck with all your writing endeavors!

Hello! I took a look at your blog and read a few of your poems. I don't read a lot of poetry but its sometimes nice to branch out a little. It looks like you don't have much trouble putting pen to paper and I liked what I read, keep up the good work! I recommended that you put a link to your blog in you signature by going to My YWS>Edit Preferences>Edit Signature.

Thank you so much for reading my work. I appreciate anyone who takes the time. I edited my signature as you suggested, and I hope more people will take a few minutes to visit my blog as a result Thanks again.
I'm not much of a poetry crit because I never really understood it as well, but my sister, beccawilleatyou, loves poetry and will probably review your work. She just joined today too, so I'll give her a heads up.

Thank you so much! I would be so happy if she would. I appreciate anyone who would take the time. Please keep spreading the word to any fellow poets you might know. Thanks again
Hey there, Kayla. Welcome to YWS. I hope you enjoy your stay. I certainly have so far .
Interesting blog, I like the layout. I'm not a big fan of poetry thought I'll swing clear of reviewing them for now. PM if you ever write a fantasy story though, I like those :p.I did notice a couple of typos though. It seems like you enjoy what you do so keep it up, post your poetry here on the forum and I'm sure you'll improve.
I'm new too but, trust me, you will love this site. I love reviewing and if you ever need a novel reviewed, you can come to me! If you have a poem, I will review that too even though it's really not my strong point. Anyway, hope you love it here!
