Hidden Truth
A mask covers my identity, As I linger in the light
Waiting to be unmasked, By the one other soul
I wait all nights and days
Hoping, Wishing, Wanting, For the unknown to show up
Disappointment consumes me
Days and Hours pass by , He doesn’t come to my rescue
To take me away from my misery, Away from the lies
Just when I give up
He opens my soul, The passage way he found threw my eyes
And pours out his heart into mines
I believe him, Give him my heart into his hands
Giving him the opportunity , Of making me happy or breaking me
Just when the mask finally disappeared
He is taken away from me, And it reappears on my face
He had taken part of me
Before I didn’t know what was missing, Now I do
And it hurts more to know, Than not
He tore my heart into pieces
How much distress Can a heart hold?
From the one she loved the most
A new mask covers my face, More exotic than the last
Holding me together, I can’t take much more anymore
Waiting to be unmasked, By the one other soul
I wait all nights and days
Hoping, Wishing, Wanting, For the unknown to show up
Disappointment consumes me
