Matthias
Matthias' ears twitched around, surveying the scene. He wore a white t-shirt and a pair of old, light jeans. He turned his head to Crystal, beside him.
"With the headmaster's well-known temper, I'm sure they'll find a way to control themselves. But I've heard the blood they serve in the cafeteria is no substitute." He thought about the vicious students at the academy. "Who came up with this stupid idea, anyway?"
Matthias turned his head and noticed the wolf-girl sitting too-close for comfort. Of course, too close was within sight for the too clashing entities. The hair on the back of his neck stood up straight and his back struggled to arch but he held back. It was too early in the year to start any problems. There would be enough already with the exchange.
"I hope the humans teach Jules how to fetch. Give her a purpose here for once." He laughed a little. His glare stayed fixed on the dog-girl. He hoped she'd notice and take the hint that he wasn't to be messed with by her kind.
Agnes
Agnes held onto her bag tightly. She stared out the windows from the back of the bus. The students at the new school were different, haunting. Her nerves drove her to plan in her head ways to hide in the bus, sleep in the bus yard over night and make it over the border on foot by the end of the week. The bus-driver called at her from the front to get off, her plans were foiled. She pulled herself off the seat carefully and reluctantly tripped down the stairs of the bus.
Her nerves had not subsided when she saw a group of particularly pale students eyeing her like... well, like a next meal. Her arms crossed anxiously and she picked at her arm. She checked the time on her phone, classes weren't starting for another few minutes. She zipped open her bag and fished out her lighter, sat on the grass and began flicking the flame on and off. She pulled out her pack of cigarettes and sat them next to her, trying to decide whether it was worth having another to get her through the school day.
