My Photography Thread!

Instead of clogging the forum with my pictures, I'll just use this one from now on (maybe). I'll just keep posting different pics, and you ARE GOING TO TELL ME what you think of them. Right? Right.

You hate the second one because...?

The first one, I'm not in love with. I like your angle (are you standing here? Maybe that's just natural, but the perspective is just a little bit interesting), but the focus is a little mundane. The tree is cool, but there are lots of cool trees in the universe. I don't see a whole lot that makes it -special-. It is a nice photograph, just not especially unique.

I much prefer the second photo. I know it's blurry, but to be honest I think the blurriness adds to the appeal of the photo. It shifts the viewer's eye to the center (the sun), and makes it more than just a silhoutte piece. Yep. I just butchered that word. And I also don't care.

Anyway, the only distracting thing about the second photo is the glare you have off of the car (?) down in the central right-hand part of the picture.

But both pictures do show a certain eye, which is a little different from a lot of what you see in aspiring photographers, I think. So keep shooting!

I really liked the first one! Beautiful tree and wonderfully lit.

The second picture I'm note sure. I would LOVE to see it in a higher resolution, it would make a cool desktop wallpaper. Otherwise it's a little blurry but that green/yellow hue is very nice.

PLUS, I like how it's evened out with the tree and high clouds on one side with the telephone pole and the low clouds on the other side. Very nice, love

These are really good photos. The first one I have to say is my favorite. I love the lighting and the contrast of the trees against the blue background!

The second photo is still good looking. The flare that the sun gives off really gives it that extra 'umph' that I like to see. It's not as bad as you think it is. Good work on these pictures, they are really good! Hope to see more.

Yet, im here to critizize... so I will

Your first picture is really nice, but, theres one way of making it better. It may not of been possible, but to get the bushy tree that pokes out of the left. It obscures the view of the picture and spoils the focus on the main tree, (Which is beautiful!)

Secondly, I dont know why you hate this, I love it! Yet theres two little points that distract from the clear beauty of the picture. That little dot of light in thee bottom right corner ruins it a little, as well as the small puffy clouds in the top right corner. These both distract from the picture.
May I say though I normally hate photos with a big ray of sunshine obscuring it, but this is lovely!~

A bit boring to me, I'm not really talented with editing, try using photoscape and play with the contrast, brightness, etc.

oooooooh pretty. The 5Th was really pretty. I like how the cloud was reflected off the water.

Wow, Rads, I had no idea you lived in such a beautiful place! The pictures all very nice, mainly for the awesome subject matter you have at hand, but they're all (or almost all) wides. Take a few tight pictures -that is, close-ups- and medium range ones, just to add a little more flavor. As is, the only other thing I have to say is that there's a lot of green! Try putting blues and brown in?

I agree with Jenthura, the place where you live is stunning...

Out of all of the photos, my favourite would have t be the one with the lilly pads. The reason for this is because it's a bit different to the rest. What I'm finding with these is the fact that they all look rather similar. They probably look even more similar to me because I know nothing about photography, but ah well. That's what makes me cool. Do you understand what I mean though? These are all scenic shots. Like Jenthura said, show us some close-ups. Don't worry about trying new things. You could maybe even try photographing some quirky things. You have a very... to put it nicely, 'different' imagination. Use it.

That's the only negative comment I can come up with... the only reason I really came to comment on this was because I liked the photos. I'm cool like that. These pictures really are pretty! To sum it all up, basically, I want to live where you live. Unfortunately for me, I can't. I'm stuck in Sunny South Wales... yeah... sunny... *cough*

i like the first one. nothing much special, but i appreciate it. but there's something about the odd shape of the tree (or is it only being blown by the wind?), and it looked like it was edited. i know it's not, but there's a glassy look to it. are you a nature lover?

the second one is beautiful. although the distracting part is the way it makes you squint, like you're really seeing the sun. but it works best for me.

O my gosh! Your pictures are amazing! I don't see how you can hate any of them. I love how there are trees in all of them I just have a thing for trees. My favorite one is definitely the first picture but they're all so amazing.
