Hey there,

I read "The Summer I Turned Pretty" and "It's not summer without you" around a month ago but recently found my copy and was wondering if anyone knew of any good books like it. I'm bored of all the hororr, action, murder-mystery books I've always read and I'm starting to get into romance. I like ones with maybe a love triangle or forbidden love of the sort, lol, I always need some sort of twist. :) I don't like fantasy or supernatural books (probably why I don't like Twilight all too much). Um, it should be in the view point of a girl and don't recommend Sara Dessen, I read all her books :p. :D So er, thanks in advance! :)

Jane Austen's books are pretty good, along with Louisa May Alcott.

If you're looking for something that isn't classic-y, check out the Gallagher Girls books. They're light teen spy novels with romance aplenty.

I'd also suggest the Body Finder since there's a bunch of romance, but if you don't like murders/thrillers, then never mind. :)
There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people:
psychopaths and mystery writers.

I'm the kind that pays better.

The History of Love, by Nicole Krauss. It may be a bit weird at first, but give it a chance: it's a great book.
Lumi: they stand no chance against the JAG SAFETY BLANKET

Try Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols, an amazing book!! The Au Pair books by Melissa De La Cruz, Prada and Prejudice by Mandy Hubbard. Memiors of a Teenage Amnesiac!

I hate to admit it, but I've been rebelling completely, and have refused to read an actual published book for about three weeks (record time if you are me). So, I've been reading fan-fiction Harry Potter romances, and just plain HP fanfiction. It's actually very nice.
My favorite would be "A Tale of Two Matchmakers" on www.fanfiction.mugglenet.com. It's a brilliant story that makes me think that J.K. herself wrote it.
This is just me though.

Souless by Gail Carriger

Awesome book.

It's a romance novel with steampunk, and also vampires and werewolves.IT'S NOT LIKE TWILIGHT. Believe me, I wouldn't have read it if it was anything at all similar. I was cautious picking it up, cuz it said it had vamps and wolves in it on the cover. Turned out I needn't have worried. It's an amazing book. It's now one of my favs.
Honey, you should see me in a crown.
