Would I be wrong to ask for nothing more?
To hold you with my iris',
to skim your skin with my gaze.

I've never seen faults so beautiful,
scars so dazzling,
pains so inviting.

In your imperfections, love, I am made perfect.
At least as perfect as a human could hope to be.

Give me a chance to carry that weight.
(Not for you but with you.)

To guard over your heart.
(Not for you but with you.)

Awaken the flow laid rest inside you.
(Not for you but with you.)

Make those bitter lips sweet again.
(Not for you but with you.)

To love you like no one else.

Not because I want to..

..for I need to.
Yeah .. I'm not cool enough to have a witty signature so .. *points down* .. move on to the next guy..

Heya. I'm not very convinced. Now, I know this wasn't exactly a springtime poem, but if it is so yearning, then rather make it 3rd person, because yearning is usually inner and hidden.

Hope that helped,
Hero.

I like this poem. Granted it seems to be lyrics to a songs I rather enjoy it. I have felt that desire, that, and longing to have someone, to hold them, to love them. I guess that is why this poem is so great to me because I can really connect with it. i probably overlooked a few things, but I do not care because this poem is great as it is. Good job.

i could really connect with this poem, and as i was reading it the more i was drawn into it. It's more of a song then a poem, but nonetheless still very nicely written. I hope to read more of your writing.

Nothing of me is original. I am the combined effort of everybody I've ever known.
