Well i reeeally love the first one xD
How the rainbow is blurred into the clouds, or however you say it ;)
( I don't have the artistic jargon. I've stopped doing graphics hehe)
The only thing i would critique is that the rainbow looks too wobbly.
It doesn't look natural. If you made it less obvious, it'd be a nice effect.

On the second one, i love the reflection on the table and the colouring ;)
Kudos for work that was done on FLICKR . Maybe you should download gimp.
It's free and reeally good. I love Gimp (l)

The fortune cookie one was my favorite out of the two. I agree that the rainbow doesn't look natural enough. My advice would be to either make it even more cartoon-y or make it a lot more subtle. I just felt like the person is a good focal point and the rainbow doesn't work with it. It would be almost cool to see a rainbow in the black and white. It would be interesting and dark, would it even show up? Who knows?

Oh well, the cookie one was neat though! I think the best part of it was the color of the cookie. :)

I'm going to focus on the first one, because I feel that it's the one that needs the work! The fortune cookie was pretty good. ;)

Okay, so. First off, I'm not a very big fan of edited photos or artwork; it takes away from the spirit of the hobby, somehow. I would have preferred it if you left out the editing process for several reasons 1) The rainbow is unnatural. Not only is the order of the colors wrong, but you also need to remember that a rainbow simply wouldn't occur in such dark, cloudy weather. 2) I can tell that you dimmed the background a good deal too. There's too much definition in the grass and trees for it to be that dark out naturally, and even then, it would hardly ever be so dark from simple rainclouds. 3) If you look closely enough, you'll see one big streak of green in the rainbow that stretches on after the other colors have stopped. That has never happened naturally, or at least not in my experience. ;) It makes this look, as a whole, pretty sloppy. :/

Well, /rant. Sorry if I sound harsh, but I'd rather be honest with you. :P

@hobbit: Thanks for the review! I'm playing around with the colors right now. Actually, I only colorsplashed the photo for this particular one; I didn't actually really play with the colors the photo came with.

@knightley: Oh, you weren't harsh at all. I can totally see where you're coming from. :D Thanks for the honest review! I actually specifically liked that one because of the strange color pallet, and the strange, unrealistic rainbow. But, apparently, not everyone does! Haha.

Hello there, Kaedee!

I have to say my favorite is the first picture but with the most recent hue changes. :D Though I do like the one with the fortune cookie. I think the first version of the first one was too dark, the second one was kind of too hazy or blue, but the third one is great. =] I like the concept for the fortune cookie one. ^_^

Very nice and keep up the good work!

The first picture is O.K. I think you need to fade the rainbow a bit. The rainbow is also over the cloud, and it looks really fake. It is really great that the rainbow is behind her though, because otherwise it would completly distract me.

The second photograph is WAY better. I love it and I wouldn't change a thing. First my eyes took in the whole picture then they read the paper. I LOVE it and would have a poster of it or somthing . . .

Thanks for the feedback on the edits! Yeah, I like the brighter rainbow photo better than the other ones also, since it seems more like a sunny day than a cloudy day.

Hey KD,

Wow, I really like what you did with the original by making it brighter. It looks so much better. Nice job :smt004

I'm not a fan of your more recent edits on the rainbow photograph. Initially, I liked it (regardless of the likelihood that a rainbow would occur in that type of weather), but when you blow out the details it just looks forced. I wasn't so into the changed color pallet (I like the idea of a more traditional rainbow), but I thought you did a good job ensuring that it faded into the background. With the borders more fluid, it looks less altered. One thing I didn't like was the splash of color on the girl's shoulder. It doesn't fit in with the rest of the image, and it distracts from what, otherwise, appears to be a solid edit.

What did you do to the second photo? It's not clear what you edited here, and although it's an interesting photograph, I'm not sure that I am focusing on the right pieces...

Good work!

Thanks for more feedback! I just to the first edited rainbow one, and played with the contrast levels a lot, basically/only made the 'original' lighter.

You walk into this room at your own risk, because it leads to the future, not a future that will be but one that might be. This is not a new world, it is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advances, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super states that preceded it, it has one iron rule: logic is an enemy and truth is a menace.
