I was watching as Taúra brought her apprentice over to Cas. I did not really approve of Ammiee going. She was VERY young. But the guild master had the final say and probably saw that it would be good for her. I guess I would just have to trust his judgment. I heard Cas telling February they could work on archery. I needed to go the the armory and get my stuff ready for tomorrow. It was going to be a big day.
I finished eating and started collecting things from the table. *Sigh* The joy of cooking.

---

About an hour later I finally got to the basement. I started by oiling all my gear. I was going to use the fur on armor. I had been in the two caves that we would have to check and knew that they were cold. Then I sharpened my ax and short sword. I only used the sword when necessary. There were some other guild warriors preparing as well.

I smiled as I packed gear into my small Knapp snack. I just put in enough necessities for the mission. A first aid kit, a spare outfit, some dried snacks. I put in some dried berry powder and nervously put the small pocket. The powder looked like sand, though it was a dried tomato color. It was sealed in a small glass container and even though Silvan said it was an easy mission, I was taking no chance.

The Bosmer people were connected with nature. An adult Bosmer can recognize roots and berries and were able to ground up special mixtures that would help in battle. The one that Mama and Papa gave me was a pain reliever powder.

It just made it feel like you were normal, in reality you could be close to death and not know it because you would never feel your injuries.

I sighed and put the small faded grey bag near my outfit for tomorrow. It wasn't like my regular white and blue dress I wore, but a ruffly black dress that had a small blue belt where you could put weapons.

I grabbed my arrows which were resting right next to the dress and started sharpening them. I was nervous of the outcome. I had never been good in fighting and February would be a much better choice to come then me.

Though I had said it would be fun, I was thinking the exact opposite. I was clumsy and weak and would've just held the team back.

What was Asvald thinking? I could never complete a mission like this.

February
I lay in my hammock gazing at the stars. Sometimes on cool summer nights I just liked to get away from the guild. I was still frustrated. Sighing I grabbed the tree and pushed. It calmed me down. Maybe Cas really could teach me something. I fell asleep like that under the stars.
~~~~
I opened my eyes groggily and snapped them shut. The sun was blaring. How could I have slept so late?
“February?” Someone called. Then I realized it was Cas. It was my first day training with him, and I already looked like a fool. I grabbed my pack. Taking my weapons out.
“Here.” I called back running into towards the guild. When I got to the well I brought water up splashing my face.
“Where have you been? Everyone already left. Aimee wanted to say goodbye.” Aimee. I now wished I would have talked to her. Sometimes we could be best friends.
“I’m sorry I slept late. I” He interrupted me.
“It isn’t that late. It’s only 8:00. The days are getting longer. The sun was up at 6:00. I would have liked to start sooner, but.”
“We can start right now.” After some argument they began.
Cas~~
Feburary
"I am best at archery, but Taúra says I need to work on close range."
"Well, we have a few days. What would you like to kick off with?" I didn't wan't to make a fool of myself on the first day. More than I already had anyway.
"Archery sounds good. I am a pretty good aim, but I have never really tried under pressure. Taúra likes hand in hand combat."
"Well I'm sure we can rig something up."
Cas~~
I picked up a hay bale and set it on a stump a good ten yards away.
"Show me your form."
She picked up the bow and shot.
"Again."
She shot again, but in a different way.
"Here. When you draw the string back make sure you pull the arrow back to the same place every time. This is called the anchor point. It helps you aim, but if it constantly changes, you don't know how to adjust. Try it."
She shot two more arrows, both of them from the same point.
I nodded, "Now my master told me a story when I was learning to shoot a bow, and I found it pretty useful. He said that there was a Bosmer, and an Imperial, and they were both great archers, and they were wandering through the forest, just shooting at things. The Imperial would call out 'tree' or 'log' and every time he would hit it. The Bosmer however, would miss every time. However, when the Bosmer called out "leaf" or "twig" then he would always hit it."
"Whats the point?"
"Its easier to hit a small target than a big one. Pick something small and aim for it. When you aim for a big target your mind says "I want the arrow to go anywhere near this area" but when you pick a small target it says "alright, the arrow needs to go right here, and no where else. Aim at my arrow"
I pulled my bow back and shot, right in the middle of the target.
Silvan
Silvan tightened the boiled leather gauntlets attached to his wrists, securing them. Slung across his back was his bow and a quiver of white-and-brown-fletched arrows, stuffed to the limit. Beside him, Aimee seemed somewhat anxious, and he interpreted it as excitement for the adventure they were about to embark on.
All of his preparations done, Silvan plopped down on the ground and began to sharpen his blade, patiently awaiting their departure.
"You laugh at me because I'm different. I laugh at you because you're all the same."
