All I need is a freak that I thought was my best friend to say that he loves me. It’s not right-we did date earlier but that doesn’t mean we can’t be friends anymore. We are not dating anymore; I have a new boyfriend so he should move on too.
I sit down on the bench in front of Colin’s house. The burning hot sun beats on my skin and all the people in the city walk around talking, laughing, playing, ect.
Why would he even want this? It would never work out anymore. Everything shines from the sun and the plants show their wonderful colors. The greens also bring in a spring feel.
I hear dogs barking and cats meowing. Every animal is talking like all the humans do in the hot weather (when we can all finally go outside).
I forgot to mention earlier: Colin is an only child. He has everything he wants. His parents both work: Mom a lawyer, Dad a surgeon. Colin has always been treated like a prince in his house. I bet he doesn’t even know how it feels to not get what you really want; well now he does.
My parents aren’t the workaholics in this friendship between the Serolski’s and the Hermis’s. Dad works as a car repair man (and a very good one at it); My Mom owns a bookstore with a small Café in it-they are both very successful businesses. I work with my mom in the bookstore and café.
“Alex,” I see my older brother Frank come up to me.
“What are you doing here?” I ask.
He sits next to me. “Mom called-so I came,”
“Uhuh,”
“Are you okay, you seem down?”
“I’m fine-it’s just Colin,”
He finishes my sentence. “Won’t leave you alone,”
“Exactly,”
“Uhuh,”
We continue sitting listening to the surroundings. Most of the people are having fun but its me that’s killing the mood in fun.
Colin has to ruin most of everything. All I did is move on but he doesn’t accept it. Most of these problems are killing me.

“Ha-ha-ha!” The parents laugh as I lay on the couch.
We are still at Colin’s. My parents got drunk and so have Colin’s. It’s so boring and disgusting to watch them like this. I have nothing to do. Frank has decided to go hangout with Colin.
“Alex,” Colin whispers into my ear.
I get off the couch walking away with a mad tension.
“Hey,” he grabs my arm and pulls me away from my destination.
“What are you doing?” I say angrily. All the parents still enjoy their drunkenness.
The sky gets darker from the sun set and some high winds have come in showing signs of a storm. Most of the people that were enjoying the weather run inside from the danger. I can hear some loud music from the neighboring houses.
“We need to talk,” Colin says.
He pulls me into the basement against my will. Both of my legs try to halt but his strength beats me.
The lights on the stair way lead us down and some ACDC fills my ears-it’s coming from the huge black stereo. All the walls are as white as a cloud and the furniture make it look decorated with spots. Frank stands in the green bar picking through the fridge.
“What do you want-huh?” he finally lets me go and I fall onto the black leather couch.
“This is a mistake what happened. We are supposed to be together, you just wanted to try someone new; I understand but it was a mistake. We deserve each other and you know that,” he explains.
I can hear Frank laughing in the background and I’m just in shock.
“Ha-ha,” I start to laugh along with Frank.
“Just because we were best friends-you are a guy and I’m a girl-it doesn’t mean that it always have to end up the way that we would have to date and be in love forever, it also doesn’t mean that we’re soul mates; we are just friends,” I explain the truth.
Colin stares at me in shock. “Wh-what,”
Frank stares at me too but not in shock-he has appreciation all over his face. I feel better than I did before; it’s good that I told the truth and now he doesn’t need to try anymore.
“No Alex, that’s not true-you are just in a stage,” he gets on his knees and tries to kiss me.
I move my face away. “I think you’re in shock that I love somebody else but you,”
“You just can’t start loving other people in one day,”
“I dated you for 2 weeks Colin-Zack came to me and blew me away, you just can’t help it,”
I get up and walk away from him. He stays in shock as I go to Frank.
“Good job lil’ sis,” he gives me a high five.
“Finally I got him off my back,” I whisper.
“I’m very impressed,”
“Ha-ha, did you think I wouldn’t pull it off,” I hit him as he stays in his laughing tantrum.
“Nooo,”

“Zack,” I say through the speaker.
“What,”
My feet kick the pillows off my bed as I lay down watching the moon shine.
“I took care of the Colin deal,”
“Really,” he questions.
“Yup, just some simple truth pills and that’s it,”
“Ha-ha,”
“Really!” I can hear some loud music coming from Frank’s room.
My parents are sleeping in their beds from the party. They got drunk and we had to drive them home. It’s relief that we left that horrid place.
All the walls in my room are darkened from the night and my eyes are secured on the amazing moon light.
“That’s great,”
“I agree,”
I can hear some talking from his phone-it’s more like yelling and arguing.
“Sorry for the noise, my parents are mad at each other,”
“Yeah- I can hear that,”
“I’m gonna head to my room, hold on,” he slides his phone onto his chest.
Frank’s music gets louder so I start hitting the wall that is also his.
“Turn down the music!” I yell as loud as I can.
“Okay!” he yells back. The music turns down and I lay back down.
“Back,” Zack says into my ear.
“Hi,”
“Are we doing that again?” We both laugh.
“No,”
I move my phone to my other ear and start listening again.
“Are you busy tomorrow?”
Is he gonna do what I think he’ll do?
“Not really-no,”
“Why,” I add.
“Because I wanted to ask you out on a date,”
I smile and get into a happy mood.
“Oh really?”
“Yeah, so?”
“Sure,” We both laugh again.
“There’s a huge party at Demi’s house-I was thinking we should go there,”
“Wait-Demi Lovato’s house,”
I know he’s a celebrity and everything but-is he sure about this, getting us public? And the fact that it’s Demi Lovatostill shocks me, I don’t know her like know her and I’m gonna go to a party that she started?
“Yeah-why do you ask?”
“Oh wait-she’s a celebrity,” he adds.
“La-duh,”
“But will you go with me?”
“Yeah,” I smile and hear him laugh a little.
“That’s great,”
