*This is a poem I had to write for school in 6th grade. It was right after we read the book Crisping by: Avi. It was a good book.*

Running, running, running away,
From John Aclif who declared me a wolfs head.
Running, running, running away,
I never thought I could be free.
Running, running, running away,
Away from who I could be
Dreams don't always have to exist while the sun's down and your eyes are shut.

Hi KAH! I'm Earthfire. I'm not really good at reviewing poetry, but I'll give this a try. I've read the book Crispin, by the way, so I think it's cool that you wrote a poem about it. The only thing I would suggest changing is the second line:
From John Aclif who declared me a wolfs head.

This doesn't really seem to flow with the rest of the poem. It's a little long and it doesn't rhyme like the other lines do. :smt001

Great job, and keep writing!

Hey there!

The biggest thing I can say about this poem is that, since you wrote it so long ago, you should have considered the fact that this isn't your "best work" (because you've probably improved since) so maybe you should have edited it before posting it.

I don't know the book you were supposed to write this poem about, which makes it hard for me to understand the poem in any way. I'm sure it wouldn't be a bad poem if I knew the context. :D But since I don't - I don't understand it at all. I don't know what you were [i]trying[i] to do with this poem, but I feel like you could have used a lot more imagery and written a lot more to try and explain what's going on so we could understand it.

Sorry this isn't such a great review. :D Like I said, I don't know the context of the poem. Best of luck!

There are those who say that life is like a book, with chapters for each event in your life and a limited number of pages on which you can spend your time. But I prefer to think that a book is like a life, particularly a good one, which is well to worth staying up all night to finish.
