Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

I just saw it with my girlfriend for our 1 year anniversary. (Our anniversary was awesome, but I'm here to talk about the movie.)

The movie = <3. I thought it was a little slow in the beginning, but that's just because I've read the book a numerous amount of times... The last part of the movie was my favorite. GRYPHONS AND STUFF!

Anyone else seen it yet?

I just saw it. Oh man, it exceeded my highest expectations and so much more. The scenery (set?) was breathtaking, the score was perfect, all the actors did an incredible job with their roles. The only complaint I really have was that the battle scenes were a tad... stale, would be the word. Oh. And the Witch's looks didn't seem quite right.

BUT IT HARDLY EVEN MATTERED.
Great movie. I caught onto the symbolism in a heartbeat. The movie held meaning for those who are Christians but still worked (and was not too pushy) for those who aren't. (I saw the movie with a non-Christian, so yeah...)

All in all, great movie. It's a classic already, I've got the feeling.

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! I loved all of the characters, especially Edmund and Lucy. Azlan (If I spelled his named incorrectly, please forgive me- I haven't read the books in ages!) of course. Dare I say it was almost as good as the book? Almost. I'm going to have to re-read it one of these days because it seems there was something missing from the whole Azlan story line...

It's Aslan, I think.

Totally Aslan. Don't ruin it for me... Mr.Tumus was always my favorate so they better not have ruined him! Everyone is getting my spyrits down just by talking about it, no matter how good they say it is. Maybe I should just stop reading this board untill i see it. I plan on reading the book to my little brother because it wuold be a shame if he sqaw the movie first.

I just caught the movie. Mr. Tumnus' wonderful in the movie. He's my favourite character too.
Unfortunately, the battles could have been better done.

I have a first edition, signed copy of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe... just thought I'd get you guys jealous...

Haven't seen it yet, probably will go with the boy later though.

I've actually never read those books, but the movies look pretty cool. I don't know if I would miss stuff since I never read it, though. I'll probably wait for the DVD.

I'm going to see it on Christmas Eve..so SHH! Or I'll beat you all up. I may be small...but i pack a punch *whallops*

I didn't think anything was missing, really. The director tried to stay as true as he could to the book, which I REALLY appreciated. (I was very skeptical coming into it too, seeing as the director also directed Shrek--which was a little risque for a kid's movie.) Aslan was very well done...

Not reading the other comments because I fear spoilers...

I have to wait until next week so that Diana can see it with us... I'M DYING TO SEE IT... The commericials make it look fantastic (well, of course they do, that's what they're there for... ) and the kids look perfect. In the old version, Lucy is fat and buck-toothed and scary, but she's so cute in this one! *giggles*

Can't wait to see it.

I just saw it last night, and I thought it was pretty well done. Granted, I haven't read the books in about seven years, so I can't compare, but it was still pretty good. I think the casting was wonderful: they all actually looked like siblings! Peter was kind of freaky because he looked exactly like my cousing. I thought it was fabulous at the beginning and lagged a little bit at the end, but maybe I was just really exhausted by that point.

Overall, good show!

Plus, the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 movie trailer at the beginning didn't hurt either. =P~

Oh yeah...The old Narnia movies...Those were some scary movies. Can you say "low-budget?"

But this new one...Amazing and stuff!
