The shading's really nice and I can tell you can draw. There are just a few things that bug me. First off, the shape of the dragon in general just seems a little strange to me (although it's a mythical creature, so there aren't too many rules as to appearance). The feet looked strangely dog-like to me, and the tail seemed too wide at the beginning and thin at the end. The ears also looked kinda rabbit-y, in my opinion. Still, you've got skill. Nice drawing.

I like it The shading is pretty, and the design is pretty cool. The only thing is that the legs look kind of awkward. Think about how bones move in a human arm/leg, animals follow the basic premise. The best thing I can tell you is to buy a how to draw dragons book... keep on drawing though
This is actually a good drawing. Loved the shading part. There are things that I just noticed. The feet are not somewhat equal, especially the nail part. The dragon seems to be thin and tall (well, that's okay). Other thing, the tail is too thick, showing that it's thicker the the body of the dragon. And above the dragon's head, I don't know what's that thing called, but should there be a shading there also?
Anyways... your drawing's nice but I think you should improve more on how you draw mythical creatures.
Keep drawing!
Peace out!

Okay, I like dragons, so I'm here to give you a real in-depth critique. As you can see below, I have circled some parts of your dragon in lovely rainbow colors. Here is what they mean:
Red: Okay, I'll be honest, the knee looks like a butt. The entire leg is pulled up at an awkward angle, and it looks really... odd in comparison with the rest of the picture. I suggest fixing the angle it is bent at and then adding some shading on the ground so we can tell that it is being lifted above it.
Orange: These three paws are nicely drawn individually, but they are too close together. There needs to be more space in between them, because if dragons were real, this one would fall over because he has no support. That leads me to blue.
Blue: Okay, the body of your dragon is completely out of proportion. It's very short and chubby, which messes up the nech and legs. Your neck is very broad, but when paired with the stubby body, it causes the legs to be too close together. You need to lengthen out the body, and that should take care of both the orange and blue circles.
Green: Okay, as I said, your body is too short and squat to support this big round tail. Lengthen out the body and this should be okay as well.
Pink: I like what you've done with the head, the fin is a nice touch. However, it seems to be coming off of the side not facing us rather than the middle of the head. The same goes for the fin on the chin. I'd move those towards the side facing us a bit, and maybe add some shading.
Overall: This picture has potential, but it needs work. The body and back leg are the two biggest problems. I'd also recommend giving this some color once you've finished editing it. Keep working at this!
i was immediately attracted to your post, as i am a dragon-drawing amateur myself i like your guy. it is kinda difficult to critique the proportions and anatomy, because as someone mentioned earlier, it is a mythical creature. but personally, when i saw the thickness of the tail, i figured it was on purpose, along with the extreme thinness of the tip. i think this has the effect of softening his character. his face tells me he's on the elderly side - something about the mouth shading - and his eyes reflect a sense of calm. he seems friendly enough, but i sense that he's nobody's pet. if you did put a background, i would expect him to be in his natural habitat, from the way he is completely at ease (i read the pose with the back foot to come to this conclusion)
well, let me know if this was the first impression you were looking to make!
