This is my first post. I have written other things too, but this is the first I have ever published. I hope you like it.

Born to a life unwilling to live, the harsh torment of the world comes crashing down. To the world, this insignificant life is like an ember to a bonfire. It can spread and burn out, or it can light that around them. Its heat and life can spread from him to others, it can give life and hope to those who take it. Their path in life can be great or they can be like the rest and be extinguished like the passing of the sun across the sky.

But for the fire, its enemy, the water, it can rain down on it and have an eternal battle. It may be weakened, and flicker, but the strong will live and thrive. It may threaten the surroundings, but the fire will heat the water and burn anew. With the uncontrolled fire, the unwilling can run and flee, but those who are foolish will fight.

But unless, all unite as a great force stand firm, the fire will spread and burn until all is burnt down. With the unruly force of untapped power, the only combat is with itself. Those who appose it can grow and fight, but not as it self but as its enemy. If the enemy grows and burns out what lives, but only so that the enemy can not thrive, it will burn itself out. But the enemy must be aware, for if burned too little, the fire will jump and it would have been given the gift of life from its rival. For the only stop to death is to stop all that lives. For if there is nothing that lives, there is nothing that can die, and then there will be peace.

Hey man welcome to Yws. I'm new here too I just joined yesterday.
Thanks for sharing your post I really enjoyed it! I loved the whole concept of the fire thriving even when the rain fell. That this would only make it stronger and burn brighter. I'm sure that the fire represents something and so does the water. I don't know what you intended for sure but I like to take that and say that the fire is love, and the water is just hurt. And even though things might start looking bad stay strong. Anyway that's just my lame take on it. Thanks for sharing! And I hope your enjoying the site as much as I am.
We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, it's to create something that will.

Welcome, I'm new as well.

I like it. You've really strung the words together well, if that makes any sense. I like your style and description.

be extinguished life the passing of the sun across the sky

I think you mean "like."

Other than that I spotted no mistakes. I think you've made a great start.

For a short space of time I remained at the window watching the pallid lightnings that played above Mont Blanc and listening to the rushing of the Arve, which pursued its noise way beneath. The same lulling sounds acted as a lullaby to my too keen sensations; when I placed my head upon my pillow, sleep crept over me; I felt it as it came and blessed the giver of oblivion.
