I passed Riley in the hall and simply nodded as I walked passed. Then as I went by Ace's room I looked in to see him upset, my face was emotionless now. I looked at him and then he caught my eye.

"Stop your cryin', will ya Ace?" I said softly. "Don't do your systems any good, all that bloody salt crap draining from ya eyeballs."

"How can you talk like that, after-" He stopped in his tracks.

"After what?" I sneered, "It don't matter now does it? 'Tis in the past. You ain't lost nothin' though, if anything you've gained getting that murderous bitch out'a your life."

"Why you!" He yelled and got up angrily. I simply slammed his door and went down stairs. I need a bloody whiskey, I thought.

Cleo, Eve, Sal and I left the house. I carried the rope and duct tape, and Sal kept shooting dirty glances at it. I had to hitch I ride with Sal again, it was getting pretty annoying not having my bike. When we got to the car she began the lengthy task of emptying the ridiculously huge arsenal from the boot, the glove compartment, under the seats and even inside the seat cushions.

"Just so I won't be tempted," she snarled when she saw me gaping at the growing pile of mass destruction next to the car.

I just laughed, as I had when Riley had dumped the stuff on the table. I was happy that the gang finally seemed to be getting back on track again, it felt great to be going on a mission that was hopefully not going to involve killing, blood or guns. I was getting kind of fed up of all three. Under the grumbling and scowling I could see that Sal was happy to have a purpose again, it was easy to forget that she was in the gang to help people too. I looked sideways at Eve and gave her a quick grin. She returned it and stepped into the car with Cleo. I jumped in next to Sal and we all sped off out the gates.

I check everywhere there might be some sort of weapon, and chuck it out of the car. Chris stares, and I laugh. Eventually, we are off. eve and Cleo sit in the back. They would have to learn to get along.

"Wait, how old are you?" Chris asks me.

"Fifteen." I reply.

"And you're driving?" Cleo exclaims.

"Yes, yes I am." I say with a laugh.

"What if the cops pull you over?" Eve asks. I hand her my fake license.

Alis

We all leave, and decide on taking my car.

"Flashy, much?" James asks me, climbing into the passenger seat.

"Motorcycles are a hazard." I respond.

"And so are you." Jimmy says. I smile.

"You're probably right."

I slip into my car, and drive away. I jump at every noise, almost certain I am going to get caught. Once I am far from the mansion, I start feeling better.

Finally, I pull up at a little tavern at the edge of town. I walk up to the bar tender, and order a drink. I needed to think, but needed to stay inconspicuous. I grab a table at the back of the tavern, and hope no one notices me. I hide my head a little, and hope people have more common sense than to bother just any girl.

I have to decide what I am going to do, now, that I wasn't with the gang. I knew I would continue the mission of the gang, but trying to do it by myself was suicide.I thought a while more, trying to come up with a reasonable plan. Just as I had a reasonable idea, Reg walks in the door.

This could be problematic.

I sat down again as Reg slammed the door, fuming.

Who the hell did he think he was, popping his head in the door just to laugh at me? Really, it surprised me how juvenile a man his age could be. I was allowed to be juvenile. I was still technically a kid for three more weeks. And it wasn't like...it wasn't as if I hadn't lost anyone. I half-lost Maitea, and I lost my little brother forever. Bree wasn't his own flesh and blood.

It made me think of Benny. He was six years younger than me, and was a pain in the ass for the first few years of his short life, but he eventually grew on me. He used to follow me around and tell everyone that I was awesome, and cried when he couldn't bring me in to his class for show and tell. When I was sick, he sat at my bedside and made me play all his video games; they'd make me feel better, he'd said. When I was dying, he saved my life. He overheard the doctors saying I needed a new kidney, and bravely said I could have both of his, even though his relief was obvious when they told him I only needed one. He did all this selflessly even though just a few days before, I'd popped his wiener-dog balloon and called him a small, ungrateful boy-child solely because I was frustrated.

I'd lost a part of me just as Reg had--two, for that matter--and he thought it was funny. It was hard enough to hold myself together, and then someone had to come rub it in my face. Jerk.

I wished I could have just gone on the heist, but why would I be able to? I never ended up going on them anyway. So what was I even doing there?

My parents made me go without any technology for a few days. I can see I missed a lot. Tell me if I do something wrong...

Eve

"What if the cops pull you over?" I ask Sal. She hands me a fake license.

I smirked. "Nice. Very convincing."

"Thanks."

"Are you crazy?!?!" Cleo asked. "We could get killed! I don't even think you know what your doing!"

"Look." Sal said. "We're rebels. Most of us have a record. The ones who don't are just good at not getting caught. If you want to be in this gang, your going to have to get used to all this. We're going to be breaking a lot more laws."

I smile. Cleo seemed to be completely baffled.

"Besides," Sal added, "I sort of know what I'm doing."

Chris and I laughed, and Cleo's face turned white. That only made us laugh harder.

I go up to Reg. "Control yourself." I tell him.

"He's cryin'!" Reg protests.

"So were you, for your information. And, Reg, he's lost his brother, and his girlfriend went and almost killed him. Cut him a little slack. At least you know Bree stayed faithful to you."

"That was over th' line, Riles." Reg says, referring to me bringing Bree into this.

"No, it wasn't. Maitea left him, and went back to another guy, who we killed. You would have been just as upset if your sister died and not a week later Bree left you."

"Now ya go 'n bring my sister int' this."

"Well, I have to, Reg. I need you to understand. Not listen to me, you will leave him alone." I say. Reg swears, and walks out the door. About a minute later, I hear his engine start.

James~~

I laughed as Alis pulled out of the mansion and through the city towards the address. I put my gun in the glovebox and flicked the safety off just in case we needed to make a speedy exit.

"Remember, just take the money, be quiet and sneaky. This is a wealthy family but I couldn't find any evidence of security besides the door alarm. I'll cut the power then you guys go through the front and i'll go through the back. Everyone should be sleeping so the lack of power shouldn't wake anyone. Just get in and get out."

Basically, everyone's going out to steal some money. They aren't allowed to kill anyone though, just take the money. As for the other stuff, I'm not too sure...

James spoke quietly.

Alis and I simply nodded. As James headed around the back of the house, Alis and I walked quietly to the front of the house. I was quite surprised to see that Alis was nervous, or at least she seemed to be. I suppose that she'd relied on guns and violence for so long, when she wasn't allowed to use them, she struggled.

"Don't worry," I whispered to her as I reached for the door handle. "You'll be fine."

"I'm not worried," Alis shrugged, clearly lying.

Chuckling quietly to myself, I opened the front door. Thankfully, there weren't any lights on and the house itself was silent. This shouldn't have been too hard.
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

Thanks Skins.

Eve

The door opened smoothly, thankfully without any creaks. Sal had picked the lock. It wasn't that hard to get it. I figured a house like this should have a little better security.

We slip into groups of two when we got inside. I went with Sal. It didn't take long 'till we found the money and were ready to go.

Just as we were heading out, a light upstairs turned on. We hear footsteps coming down the stairs.

Everyone exchanged looks of worry. We hurried out of the building, but they spotted us.

I drove off out of the forests. It wasn't that I had any particular dislike for Ace, it was more so that his girlfriend had killed my wife, that's what did it. That was enough thinking of things, it was pathetic. I needed to move on, despite how soon it was. I couldn't function like this... I'd been on the run before, I could survive an emotional blow to my heart, surely?

I'd have to.

I turned the car around and headed back to the mansion. Riley needed her glue.

After we pull up at the little mansion, we get straight to work. We take whatever we can, while Chris stands guard. She was the one, of all of us, who would be able to use the rope and duct tape if necessary. I was still sure Riley was insane.

Then, we hear a noise upstairs. A light turns on, and a door opens.

"Time to get creative." I say with a sigh.

My phone rings.

"What?" I ask.

"Yeah, Riley, they have guns." Cleo says.

"Who?" I growl.

"The people who own the home."

"Like I said, get creative." I say, then hang up. Maybe I was being unfair, or maybe I was doing the right thing. The whole point of this was to help people, we didn't need others dieing in the process.

Reg comes storming in.

"I thought you left."

"Well, I'm back now." He says, not exactly in the best of moods.

"I know it's a lot to ask Reg, or maybe not so much to ask, but you do need to control yourself. We have to set the example." I say.I cross my arms across my chest.

"How 'r they doing?" He asks me.

"Cleo said the home's owners have guns. I am not worried. If it comes to a fight, they have Chris."

I was flummoxed by fractious Franny's decision to abrogate analgesics for the moribund victims of the recent conflagration. Of course, to display histrionics was discretionary, but I did so anyways, implicating a friend in my drama to make the effect cumulative. I think a misanthrope would have a prosaic appellation, perhaps one related to autonomy and the rejection of anthropocentrism. I think they wouldn't think much of the prominence of watching the coagulation of tea to prognosticate future malevolent events, not even if those events were related to jurisprudence.
