"What the hell?" I whisper as Riley leaves. Not wanting to find out what would happen if I dare disobey her, I give Ace a quick kiss and go to find Eve. Fortunately, she is already outside.

"Riley wants me to work with you on your fighting." I tell her.

"How?" She asks.

"I'll just free form it. Point blank, try to pin me down." I say, and lunge. In seconds she is on the ground. This was pathetic.

"Try going like this." I say, showing her a few things. She nods. I lunge again, this time I actually have to try to get her down.

Me and Bree made the most of that special time together, just holding each other and knowing we were with one another. After a while, we'd heard activity from outside and looked to see everyone practising through the bedroom window. It was amusing seeing Eve in a fight with Maitea.

I hugged Bree and then left the room, making my way into the kitchen. I put a pan on the hob and heated some baked beans to the boil. They began bubbling slowly in the pan and I knew another minute or two and they'd be done. I got a bowl ready and placed it carefully on the side. That's when i had my flashback. I remembered my sister, as always, playing quietly on the swings, the cold whistle of the soft wind blowing my hair. I walked up to her with the intent to join in on her fun, only to see my father standing through the shubbery behind her. He was with my mother and they both looked cold. I could just about make out another figure, but this one was laced with red blood. His face disfigured with bullet wounds. That's when I saw it. My Dad was holding a silenced 9mm pistol and the barrell was smoking. That's all it took for me to hate them.

I brought myself back to the attention of the beans which seemed to begin sticking to the side of the pan. I quickly scraped them away with a wooden spoon and emptied the contents into the small china bowl. Grabbing a folk, I dug in and made my way outside to watch the rest of the action.

"The Vicar"

I was sat there on the phone to a hazey voice on the other end of the line.

"Ah, The Vicar, is it?"

"Who else," I grumbled. I was in the library, surrounded by silence and books. It was just me and the phone making the sounds.

"And?"

"I do the talking," I said.

"Suits me, long as I get my end of the deal."

"Shits like you always get your ends of the deal. It's mine I'm concerned about."

"The Vicar? Concerned? Haha, you make me laugh."

"Shut up. You got what I want?"

"Yes."

"Good. Then you know what to do," I hung up.

I sighed, finished with my shooting, and walked up to Reg.

"Are you and Bree ready?" I ask.

"As well as we'll ever be." Reg grins. I wasn't so sure.

"Guns loaded?" I ask, skeptical.

"Yes."

"You all warmed up? I have a feeling we will need more than guns."

"Yes again." He says.

"You'd better be. No mistakes, Reg, no mistakes." I say. There wasn't room for that, no room for error. With that, I walk inside.

"Stay very close to me." I say. They both take a step closer. I push my sister away a bit and step closer to Jimmy.

I take out my gun, and take a step forward. a few of the men stop and stare at me. Even by these people, I was feared.

"Alis, so good to see you again." A boy says, frowning. He obviously felt the opposite of what his words suggested. His hand reaches towards his gun. I am a step ahead. I shoot him.

We walk the rest of the way without incident, though I can tell the stares are making Sal and Jimmy nervous. We reach a little stall at the end of an alley.

"Gustavo!" I say, seeing the old man behind the counter. He comes out and gives me a hug.

"Alis, darling, it has been to long. Ah, you look just like your mother. We have both missed you." He grins.

"Well, I suppose you know why I..." I am interrupted when Sal runs up to him and gives him a hug.

"Daddy!" She exclaims.

I couldn't help but stand closer to Alis as we walked down the alleyway. I was acting like some pansy chick, but I didn't care. I liked being close to Alis, it made me feel safe, for obvious reasons. As we continued walking, I moved even closer to her.

Alis suddenly stopped and began talking to two random guy who was stood at a stall. Alis was halfway through her conversation when Sal interrupted her.

"Daddy!" Sal squealed, completely unexpectedly.

Right... that dude wasn't their father, was he? Besides, what teenage girl said daddy...? I decided not to say anything, Sal might blow me up or something if I did. God knows what Alis would do. I couldn't help but grin as I imagined Alis running at me with a giant bazooka. She obviously noticed because as I was imagining, she gave me a weird look.

"Who's that?" The guy spoke roughly, narrowing his eyes at me.

"Uh," I said nervously. "I'm Jimmy Moore."

I was about to put my hand out to shake his, but I then decided not to. The guy didn't seem very impressed with me. I didn't want to anger him even more. If Alis wasn't with me, I would be crapping myself right now. He didn't look like the friendliest of all guys.
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

"Uh, I'm Jimmy Moore." he says. I roll my eyes.

"Your boyfriend?" my dad asks me.

"No....he's not." I say. I realize on the inside I feel a little upset. Why the hell would I feel upset at that?

"A friend." Sal chimes in.

"Your first time in a devil's market, Jimmy? I can tell, by the looks of you. Well, Alis, lets get you that gun." My dad says. He pulls out the exact gun from the picture.

"Thank you dad!" I say. It has a big bow on top. Jimmy looks like he is trying not to laugh. I ignore him.

"I can't wait to see the look on some poor PK"s face when he sees what you've got." Jimmy laughs.

"They won't know what hit them." I laugh.

Suddenly, a man aims a gun. "Jimmy, duck!" I yell, pushing him down. I watch the bullet fly by where he just was. I shot the guy who had aimed the bullet.

"I told you, nothing gets by Alis." One of his friends say.

"She's a devil." Another agrees.

"No, the devil looks at her and runs. Alis is one of a kind."

"Try going like this." Maitea said, showing me a few moves. I was embarrassed that Riles even made her do this, but I was even more embarrassed that she'd taken me down so easily the first time. I was kind of angry, actually, so the second time she had trouble with taking me down.

After she'd shown me a few more moves, we wrestled a third time. I easily got her down.

Looking at her, I smiled. "You'd better be careful." I said to her. "You're too good of a teacher. I might get better than you soon." I chuckled, but she didn't laugh along.

The next time we tried, it took awhile before something happened. After about 3 minutes, I took her to the ground. Then I helped her up.

I sighed, and so did she. "Maybe we'd better stop now." She said. "We're both getting tired.

I nodded, speechless. I couldn't talk because, for some reason, I couldn't breathe very well. I rushed to my first aid kit, and by then, I was completely out of air.

Rummaging as fast as I could through my kit, I finally found an inhaler.

Maitea rushed to my side.

"Are you okay?" she asked me.

"I think so." I said, hazily. "I've never had an asthma attack before, though.

My head began to spin.

"Maybe you should lie down." Maitea said, holding my arm to support me. I shok her off, not wanting to seem weak.

"I'm fine." I said. Although she could tell I was lying, she dropped the subject. We sat down for a while and just talked until Riley came to get us.

"Let's go." Riley said to us.

Of course, we did as Riley told her and waved goodbye to me. I was really glad that I was sort of beginning to make friends with the gang.

Riley

Alis, Sal and Jimmy arrived back at exactly twelve.

"What took so long?" I asked her.

"Well, I had to test it." She says. I had never seen Jimmy look so pissed off. I ignore the inferences that were swarming my mind.

"Well, get everything ready. We leave in five minutes." I say. The rest of us were all ready, I had made sure of it. A few minutes later, we were all in one car or another, ready to go.

We start to drive. "Max, get SS on the line for me." I say. In a minute Max hands me the phone.

"Riley, what is this about?" SS asks.

"I'd like a chance to talk to you alone. Or at least without five other guards surrounding you." I respond.

"Fine. Where should we meet?"

"The woods near the edge of Heptane State Park. There is a clearing about a 1/4 mile in."

"You will be armed, I assume?"

"I would be a fool not to." I say, and hang up. We arrive at the park.

"Why 'ere?" Reg asks.

"Plenty of space to hide, and I am familiar with the area. Though that may not serve any use, if things end badly." I reply, my voice cold. I wait until we are all ready, and then we walk towards the clearing. I put a hand up for the others to stop. SS is in the clearing as well.

"Don't shoot unless I am in trouble, I give the signal, or both." I whisper, "And if you do shoot before then, you better get out of this country and hope I have better things to do then hunt you down."

She had gone mad, I swear, There was something wrong with her head. Reg grins. I go up to Ace, and he puts his arms around me. Riley walks into the clearing, and SS steps out soon after. Alis positions her gun.

"Don't, you might get too tempted."

"Like Riley could fight me." She scofs.

"Are you going to be okay, Ace?" I whisper to him. His hands are shaking a little.

"What I wouldn't do to kill him right now." He says back.

"Wait for the signal." I say.

Riley walked into the clearing, and SS was there too. We all thought she was crazy! None of us knew exactly what she was planning, and that just made us more worried. We had to trust her, though.

Maitea walked over to Ace, who seemed a little off.

Alis aimed her gun at SS.

"Don't, you might get too tempted." Maitea said. I agreed with her.

"Like Riley could fight me." Alis said. She chuckled a little, and the rest of us couldn't help but laugh silently along too.

After that, there was silence for a long while. We were all concentrating on Riley and SS, waiting for the signal. The two had begun to talk, but we couldn't hear what about. We knew something was going to happen soon, we just didn't know what.

I didn't like being sat there, doing nothing. I knew Bree could handle the control of the others, so I walked down the right, through the woodland that surrounded, but at the same time watching the exchange between SS and Riley. The others looked out at me in confusion, but I ignored them and Bree settled them making sure their eyes remained on Riley.

I picked up a small jog, making my way past Riley now, except draped in woodland and in an unknown position to both SS, Riley and the others. I'd dissapeared deep into the Woods, working my way quickly and silently to the otherside. Upon reaching the other side I noticed a crew of PKs. It would be stupid taking them out on my own - even with this woodland coverage. And it might endanger Riley. I decided to take in a quick headcount of the ones I could see, along with some snipers positioned in the trees above my head.

I then retreated deep in to the woods, but still staying behind them and ahead of Riley and the others. I hid behind a small bank of earth and pulled out a small coms-radio. Pressing down the button on top, I hissed a whisper over to Bree's coms.

"There's fifty plus of these smug bastards hidden in the woods, and they're the only ones I've seen. This is gon'a turn damn ugly," I whispered.

"Jesus," said Bree over the radio.

"Right, stay on Riles orders. No shootin' 'till old Riles says, I'm now radio-dead, got that?" I said before throwing the coms-radio out into the woods behind me, well away from any PK position. Then, I took out my knife. Time to play.

I rolled my eyes as Maitea warned Alis not to shoot, while Alis clearly wasn't listening. Alis replied by more or less saying how much harder she was than Riley. She had a point though, Alis was the hardest girl I'd ever met. Sal came in a close second.

I chuckled along with the others as Alis spoke, but I wasn't chuckling because of her, not really. I was chuckling because I felt nervous. I was being a pansy and I knew it. I'd given up on being tough, I was too weak. I hadn't shot a single gun since I'd been in the gang. That said it all.

"What are they talking about?" I heard Sal whisper to me.

I turned my attention to where Riley and SS were standing. They had begun talking now. About what exactly, I had no idea.

"How should I know?" I whispered back. "I know I'm amazin' and everything, but I don't have super hearing."

"Amazing?" Sal chuckled lightly. "You're too scared to even shoot a gun! Hardly amazing."

That chick was seriously pissing me off now. Everyone knew that I was a pansy, there was no need for Sal to bring it up.

"Sal, shut up." Alis whispered, nudging her sister.

I was surprised to see Alis turn to me and smile. It was only a little half curve thing, but for Alis, it was a smile. I forced a smile back at her, hiding my nerves.

"I have a bad feeling about this..." Maitea spoke slowly.
I didn't know what to put here so I put this.

I walked slowly into the clearing.

"You came." SS sounded pleased.

"I don't go back on my word." I respond coldly.

"Of course." His simile is evil.

"May I ask why you are targeting us?"

"You killed one of my men. Of course it is only fair we get revenge. And, in addition, you have killed your fair share of people."

I don't bother to point out the two exceptions in my next statement, "We only kill when we are endangered doing what we think will help others."

"But it is killing, nonetheless." He smiles again. How does he find this amusing?

"Says the serial killer." I say. Suddenly, I turn as a gunshot is heard in the woods. Then, a ripping pain shoots up my arm. against my will I drop to my knees. SS holds a knife to my throat. If I move an inch, I know I will die. Some type of poison must have been in the bullet, because I feel myself weakening.

"You really thought you could beat me?" SS asks me, "And you can thank your little friend Maitea for the poison. She had dropped it at the last fight. We thought it might be useful."

I thanked my lucky stars that Maitea had begun to help me build an immunity to it. So it couldn't kill me, but who knows how long I could stay conscious.

"I think Riley is in trouble now." I say as I watch SS hold a knife to her throat.

"My poison!" Maitea exclaims.

"Now!" Bree says. We all step out from behind the trees. And I had no idea what came over me, or why I did it, but I ran up and hugged Jimmy.

"Be careful." I tell him. I smile, check my gun, and walk out of the trees. I aim, and get ready to shoot SS. Unfortunately Max gets him first. I give him my death glare. He grins. Then I see what we are up against. My smile grows profound. This was going to be awesome. I stay at a distance, and continue shooting whatever PK I can. I hit most of the time, but have to be careful to not shoot any of the Fishers.

I watch James, in the middle of the action, go and carry Riley away from the fighting.

"Eve, go help Riley." I say when I get close to her. I point to where Riley is. Eve nods, probably glad to not be fighting, and runs off.

Sal

I take out my gun and literally skip onto the field. A few PK's see me and start laughing. I hiss under my breath and throw a grenade at them. Then I laugh, because of the irony of the situation. Three down, a lot more to go. I keep track of how many I kill, hoping to get more than James. He wouldn't beat me again.

The bastard sniper had shot Riles. I quick footed and jumped up the tree, dragging the Sniper by his leg down to the woodland floor. It was silent enough. My knife landed in his neck and I let him bleed out. I couldn't waste time, or reveal my position because I was fussing. I sprinted up to a group of three PKs, all armed with semi-machine guns. I slashed at the back of their knees and they instantly dropped to the floor. I dived over the bank of earth as they returned fire, whaling in pain. There was no chance they'd reload in that kind of agony. After they'd depleted their guns, stunned with surprise, I launched my fatal attack, slashing their necks wide open with three quick knife attacks. They instantly fell silent, but my position was revealed.

I needed to help Riles. I jumped out into the open, but the PK were now behind me with SS infront. I ran as fast as I could for SS's back. I was halfway there when it struck. A cold metal burst into my lungs and I collapsed face down. I struggled to breathe and began going into a fit of shock. Bleeding out uncontrollably, with death looming over my future in a matter of minutes. Must stay brave...

I pulled my pistol out from my hip holster, my hand shook with nerves, drenched in blood. I shot at SS' leg and blew a hole in his knee cap. He lurched back with a cry of pain and dropped the knife, just enough time for Riles to collapse. I turned my gun's aim to the woodland and shot randomly, yelling as loud as I could. It didn't do me any good though, as another bullet tore through my shoulder. I whirled onto my back in pain, blood everywhere. I was going to die; I blacked out.
