Letters to my mother

First of all, who has read Letters to my mother. By Teresa Cardenas. It's about a girl who's mother passed away and to keep her spirit alive, somehow, she starts writng letters to her.
Here is an example of one of the letters.

Querida Mama,
I saw you in my dreams. A lovely red ribbon was braided into your ponytail. You were running from one end of the sky to the other pulling a kite made out of clouds.
You weren't happy, but there you were, running and skipping like a nine year old. You looked a lot like me, as if you were my daughter, not the other way round.
I called you many times in vain. It was sad.
I woke up in tears. No one came to ask me what was wrong.
I don't know why Tia Catalina bothers with me. She only cares about her daughters.
Lilita and Baby make fun of me all day long.
I wouldn't make fun of them if their mother died.

So yeah. Her mother died, she moved in with her Aunt Tia Catalina, cousins: Baby and Lilita, and grandmother. She goes to school and gets called bombena which means thick lipped. Lilta and Baby call her that too.
Her Grandma pretty much hates her; belives she is cursed and is a 'bad luck bird'.

This is set in Cuba where people are quite racist (as said during the book).

The characters the Letter Writer is friendly with are:

Menu - A lovely woman down the street who sells flowers and is nice to the MC.
Roberto - A white boy from her class who she likes (like likes)

Characters the Letter Writer doesn't like. (Or they don't like her.

Tia Catalina - Her aunt. By the end of the book she is kind to her buuuut...
Grandma - Her Grandmother who is mean to her at the start but begins to be nicer near the end because she has heart problems.
Lilita - Cousin who thinks LW is a bembone.
Baby - 7 year old cousin who is quite like her sister.
(You may add people she likes/dislikes)

It may not be clear so: I want you to help me write letters to Mamita in heaven, describing the troubles she faces (Racism, neglect, her Aunts Boyfriend problems)

Its like the book, so we just write letters, in character, to our late mother. And yeah.. lol, you might have to read the book

But so do we post in letters or like a storybook? And if it's in letters why would I be writing letters to your mother?

Okay. So you cant be Baby. You have to be this 10 yr old girl who lives whith her aunt and 2 cousins. She writes letters to HER mother telling her about whats going on (good or bad). So Your not writing to MY mum, you're writng to Mamita. Our characters mum.

Er, okay. So just lemme know when we get more characters and can start.
