Only one of his I've read is East of Eden, which I loved. He's a great writer.

Now I can't wait to see the movie... It's got James Dean in it...

I had to read Of Mice and Men for my GCSE English in year 11

Same. I loved the book...rest of my class were only interested in watching the film... But i really enjoyed it, even went out to get my own copy. I've started to read Grapes of Wrath as well but not gotten very far...its at the bottom of my "to read" pile at the moment. I'll get around to it soon...

After I read 'Of mice and Men' for my GCSE it killed all joy I would have ever gotten from reading the book on my own. We had to analyse it so much and I was in a class that just didn't care. The best part about the whole thing was our teacher reading out the voices in a corny american accent.
please grant me my small wish; (love me to the marrow of my bones)

I loved of Mice and Men, it was so upsetting at the end though. I started grapes of wrath but never finished it, not because I didn't enjoy it I just started reading something else.

I thought Of Mice and Men was really good-we had to read it this year in school. It was sad, though, too. :( I haven't read any of his other books.
