"Okay Lynn," I said as the bell rang and drifted towards the door. "Bye, I gotta go."
I slipped out of the girl's toilets and slunk off down the hall. The next few hours passed in a blur. I didn't pay attention for most of it.
I was leaving the school when I bumped into someone. I blinked and looked up. It was a couple of younger boys. "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to..." I trailed off, staring. Were those...dog ears?
"Dog?" I asked and the blond boy blinked at me. The other one had black and silver hair. "Oh, sorry," I muttered and backed off a step.

I missed lunch, and the next period. I was starving all through the rest of school. As I walked home I sighed. Lanterns were now hung and I saw people buying fireworks. "Great, New Years." I just couldn't wait for it to be over.

Veil- " Wake up, come on," a harsh voice shook me out of my sleep and I rubbed my eyes sleepily. " What? Who died?" Someone laughed and pulled me to my feet. When my eyes adjusted I smiled weakily at Rawr's bright ((healed)) face. " No one died, silly," she laughed," you just slept the whole day away!" I let my mouth hang open slightly before closing it. " They let me sleep that long? Why? I had a test after lunch and-" Rawr started laughing hard but abruptly stopped when her stomach started to bother her. I reached for her but she just waved me away. " I'm fine, and I was joking. But you did miss lunch." As if on cue, my stomach growled. I groaned and rolled my eyes.((Time Lapse.)) I jogged out the front doors of the school, flicking my tail back and forth manically. Where was she? Ahhh! Why does she always do this to me? " Boo!" I squealed and jumped at least two feet into the air. I heard her laughing and I turned around with a scowl on my face." Gotcha," she winked and grabbed my arm. " Now, come on or we're gonna miss the party." " What party?" " The New Years party at the town center." I scoffed and rolled my eyes. " We have pleantly of time!" " Just hurry," she growled. Well, hey, who am I to disobey the tiger? Jager- I waited outside the front doors of the school, twirling that girl's ribbons in my hand. The sheep. Figures. If I was correct, she'd be coming out any moment now. Two minutes passed and she finially burst through the doors. " You," she squealed when she caught sight of me. She ran over with her head down and her hands covering her horns.. " Y-you have my ribbons," she squealed. I nodded and spun them around my finger. " That I do." Her face turned a light shade of red. I poked her in the cheek. " You want them back?" She nodded sharply. "Then all you have to do is ask." She opened her mouth and then closed it quickly. I sighed and walked away. " No," she ran up to me. " Please, give them back! I don't want everyone to see my horns." " Why not? Who cares what anyone thinks?"
"Oof!" I said. I had accidentally run into someone.
The voice laughed. I recognized that chuckle. "Don't worry about it Lynn."
I looked at the figure I had run into and gasped. It was Ciarian! "What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Can't I walk around?"

I walked briskly down the school stairs, people were texting noisily on their phones fair welling their friends and readying themselves for New years. I could feel a tingle on my neck of someone watching me but shrugged it off, I was a paranoid person. What could I say?
“Hey Train ready for the festivities?” I heard someone call. I looked around a little frazzled but decided to ignore it. I walked under a blossoming tree, watching the small petals fall towards the ground.
“Yeah! New years eve Baby!” A guy screamed out his car window at a group of girls. They all began to giggle stupidly. I rolled my eyes.

I watched Lynn, bemused as she stared at me. I could practically see the wheels turning. I flashed her a smile and turned to look for the two boys I'd bumped into only to see that they had vanished. I frowned.
"Did you..." I trailed off and sighed. "Nevermind."
Lynn chuckled and smirked at me. "What were you going to stay?" she asked.
I shook my head and turned back to her. "Nothing," I said. "It was nothing."
**Kineta, you could have your character bump into Ciaran and Lynn, if you like.**

As expected Train had entered the school and left me sitting on the wall mulling over his words. The dragon huh? Well. Hadn't that gone well. I smirked to myself as I recalled the end of our conversation...
"Animal? You mean for New Years?" Train laughed nervously and touched a hand to a necklace that hung around his neck. I held his gaze for a moment, my big, pale eyes serious and then I faked a grin and nodded. "Yeah, sure," I said playing along. "Well I'd be a dragon then," Train informed me. I squinted and looked at him closely. Aha! Yes, that fit. "Well dragon, hurry along to class huh?" "What? Oh right, yeah." Train headed for the door and then turned back and asked suddenly, "What about you?" "Maybe you'll find out later," I said with a grin. He looked frustrated but clearly didn't want to be late and turned back again walking through the school doors.
"Hey!" a familiar voice called out. "Lilia, hey, hey!" Only one person I knew could get that excited over seeing me. Swinging my legs around, I dropped off the wall to face the friendly looking blonde kid. His blue eyes were bright with a greeting. Noah. What an annoyance! He was like the younger brother I never had, always wanting to play games and hang out. I'd met him some years back, he'd run away from home and seemed to think that made us family. Yeah right. If we followed that rule then I was supposed to be friends with Enya too. No thanks.
It was strange to think that there might be more of us in the same town. Us being zodiacs. I'd known for a while now that Noah was the dog and everything about Enya smelled of cat. We made for an odd group. Dogs chase cats and cats chase mice. It just wasn't possible for the three of us to get along.
"Hi Noah, what's up?" I set off walking at a casual pace and he fell in beside me, loyal to the end.
"You'd better get moving Lily! Enya's in town and she's pretty mad about that trick we played on her." Noah grinned boldly but I suddenly felt wary. I dropped to a crouch and looked left and right, searching, listening.
"Oh Liliaaaaa." The voice was faint but immediately recogniseable. Enya. I started running.
I'm going to get you Lilia. This time I ran after Lilia, fast as lightning. she quickly turned the corner, and I followed. stupid rat. Wait til I catch her, that'll teach her for playing that prank on me. Did she expect me to take it lying down? I hissed at her as I chased her, right behind her.

"There's a party and we're all invited!" I chriped happily as I walked the streets of Spring Valley next to Veil. He held tightly onto a balloon a girl had given him when we had burst out of the school screaming about fireworks.
"You know..." He began his tail coiled around his arm grabbing onto the balloon. "We should play a game," I began to nod, "What kind of game?" "A game about life, a game about the Earth as we know it?" He placed on a scientific voice his eyes narrowed.
"YOur kidding right?" I scrunched up my nose in distate. "Since when was tigi not a gmae about life?" We both began to laugh in unison. I ignored the pain in my stomach from the head bashing thing.
"Your in!" Veil shrieked nipping my shoulder. He jumped back letting a group of teens running past us. I looked after them, one of them had silver hair or was it white? I looked back up to see Veil was gone, "Darn you Veil!"
((Sure, but who are you excatly.)) Veil- I dashed off when Casey turned her back, slipping into the few trees that lined the sidewalk. I stifled a laugh as she looked around. " Darn you, Veil," she screamed. I laughed and tree hopped my way to the park. I jumped down with my eyes shut tight with laughter. " Ow!" Startled, I jumped up and looked down at the person I landed on. " Oh, I'm so sorry!"

"Where did that darn dog go wondering off to know?" I grumbled.I look away one for one second and the boys like Houdini or somethin' and vanishes. And what about that odd person and the whole dog thing. Did he know about the whole Zodiac thing?
"Whatever," I shook the suspicions from my head. I had to find Noah and I knew exactly where he would most likely be. Hanging with Lilia and Enya. If I found them then I would him.

I walked through the town the childish screams of people are they ran around happily trying to get a look at all the decorations being placed across the town. My eyes narrowed at a dragon piñata being placed above the head of little children in silk dresses.
Walking past them I stopped to stare at the dragon, “Are you really going to hit?” I asked them. They all turned to stare at me wielding large bats. I looked up to see Silver come running out from a bush sweat drenched.
Another girl followed after her laughing loudly. A boy with blonde hair jumped down from the tree landing on the other girl. They both began to laugh happily. Silver ran towards me, grabbing one of the bats from the children she shot me a sneaky smile.
“I will hit it!” Smashing the piñata with all her might it busted open a mountain of lollies falling to the ground. The children dived for it clasping at the sweet lollies on the floor.
“Thanks!” I said to her sarcastically. She winked, “No problemo, I’m happy to help!”
