Hey, my name is Caitlyn. I just joined YWS today. I am 14 years old and I live in Boston. I do not like the Red Sox. My favorite color is orange. I like to read, write, and draw, even though I'm not very good at drawing. I have a kitten named Mr. Whiskers. He is a very odd cat.
What kinds of things do you write and draw? Like, do you write short stories or poems? Do you write romantic fiction or non-fiction or science fiction? And as for drawing, do you draw in pen or pencil? People or clothing? Landscapes?
Do you plan on posting both writing and drawing on this site? I'd love to see! Also, when did you get Mr. Whiskers and what kind of cat is he, and do you have pictures? Hehehe.
Sorry for all the questions. ;D If YOU have any questions about where to find things or the rules or if you need a review, just go ahead and PM me!

To answer your questions, I like to write fantasy, realistic fiction, historical fiction, and sci-fi. I like drawing people and landscapes, and sometimes animals. I usually draw in pencil, and if I like my drawing I trace over it in pen. Mr. Whiskers is a Maine Coon. This is a photo of him:
Awww, Mr. Whiskers is so adorable! And a Maine Coon, huh? Aren't they the kind of cat that gets really big and hefty and cuddly? My kitty isn't a maine coon or anything, but she's still really big and hefty and cuddly, just the way I like her. Of course, I like little kittens the size of my hand, too, so...
What kind of fantasy do you like to write? Fantasy worlds or just a little fantasy mixed in a realistic world? Both? What about poetry? Any poetry? ^_^

Thanks I used to write poetry a lot, but lately I haven't When I write fantasy sometimes it's in a different world and sometimes there's just a little bit of fantasy.
Aw, you should try writing more now that you're here. I found that when I was surrounded by other poets discovering what made good poetry, it helped me to learn more quickly than I would have if I just read a book on poetry or an article on the internet. It's good to GIVE feedback on work, because by finding what's bad or good in another person's work, you can reflect on what is good and bad in your own work and improve yourself while helping other people!
I'd suggest you try a review soon, Caitlyn. Whenever you feel comfortable, venture out to the literary forums and give someone some thorough suggestions. Look at other reviews for examples, especially from members who have a green badge under their name, because that means they've been recognized for good reviews. Members with brown badges have been recognized for EXCELLENT reviews, so they'd be your best example. ^_^ Good luck, and let me know if you have questions, okay? I also look forward to seeing some of your work posted!
