I painted this on Saturday...It took me five hours...I even got a sunburn because i did it all outside. This is done with Acrylics...Even though i've posted this, I've decided to show you all my progress. I still have to post more as well as my end result. In other words please critique... or compliment...I'd rather you guys catch the mistakes before the finished product.
Thank YOU!

You have a rather interesting style, I like it.

There are really no things I can actually say, since you use a different style, I cannot tell what is a messup, or what is intended.

I will say that the bird is beautiful, and the woman's face, though weird, is also nice.

The only negative thing I have to say is about her hair. The hair seems to be blowing in the wind, and the wind seems to be blowing in two different directions. Half of her hair is floating in front of her, and the other half is being forcefully blown behind her? That's not very realistic.

But, otherwise, I really like it!

Good job!
I love the black background and all you can see is the woman's face on one edge of the piece of paper and the (beautiful!) bird on her hand in the other corner.
One thing I can spot is that at one part, the woman's hair doesn't totally connect to her scalp. The shape of her ear is also a bit odd.
As Classy said, interesting style!
Oh wait...this isn't done yet? I think it looks very cool already just as it is, don't ya think?
Well anyways, keep up the good work-

->It's nice how it looks as though her hand is floating, and you have a brilliant painting style.
I'm not very good at painting, but i think your painting looks good, and i think it's tonal shading or whatever, i can't remember the name.... but you've shaded good.
->The forehead looks really funky, it all looks funky in fact.
->as for the canary... very cute! Beautiful colours! I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thanks you guys...well I must say just a couple things before i continue...The painting is big...and when i say big i mean this canvas is 2.5 ft by 3.5 feet...I brought this up because this just prooves i can't put this thing on my father's scanner (the stupid thing) and when i look at my painting her forhead looks fine...but when i look on the photo i took of the painting it's transforming all the time...in more words...her heads either looks "funky", "Beautiful", or honky-door-e!
About the ear...I couldn't agree more. You nailed me you guys. Here is some advice from a skilled artist (I've been doing art since I hold my first crayon)When you're doing a piece of work that you might want to sell or have been given a due date...well before you finish it hold it up every once in a while to a mirror, or take a picture with your cellphone...it's like a completely different painting...And I don't know about you guys (but it's obvious from your reviews) but i can pick out minor things about every painting I see (God mad us all skrew ups...we make mistakes...its in our blood)...So in a sense if you were to look at your piece of work "In a different point of view" you can pick out things like the ear on my painting or if the converging lines are off...Etc..
But anyway just wanted to say thanks (Your reviews were too nice) and hope you continue on with good pieces of work of you own!

She needs a thumb.
My reality comes to a close as I once again realize that you don't love me, and even if I love you with my everything you will never care.

I quite like this piece, but the lady's face is odd. Her forehead is further back than her chin and that gives it an imbalanced look. Her lips imbalance this even more.
The canary, however, is amazing, it's tail is perfect. You have a great style a. I dont know how you edit paintings buuut :)

Kudos.

To FLower: She has one but the way the hand is titled...well I couldn't see it when my friend was modeling so....

To Sarah: Thank you...I know what you mean, it looks soooo much better, the real thing does....I'm not lying...

To Bifle: Thank you...I have nothing else to say...

PS TOO ALL! I'm not complaining when i say this, but everyone comes in different shapes and sizes...including their forehead...I'm jusst saying this to defend the person who modeled for me...No need to feel sorry or grieve . . .(I could care less(not to be mean)(i'm being a grump today just ask my mom))...but anway to answer the question about how to edit a painting...this person obviously has never painted with acrylics....Paint dries...you can paint over dried paint...to conclude: I can paint over my dried painting to make it better... (What has the world come to!?!?!?!?!?!)

PSS...I think I'm going to shut up and express myself in something...maybe smash my brothers face in...no i love him too much...How about a book...yes I will smash the face in of a book.

PSSS...Thankyou for evalutating the paining...It may seem like I'm being b****y, but i really do apprecitate it.

I love the first shot of the canary up close. The hand coming out of the dark and the yellow stark against the black. It's inspiring a poem, I believe.
