I hope you would be interested in reading this guys. even if that this is long. :D I think and hope Kyle could have gotten the enough courage to tell his deep feelings to Lila, his best friend! 8)

------

It could have been me. And it could have been her- the girl I want to marry, and the person I’ve wanted to start a family with. The girl I’ve been dreaming to live with me for the rest of my life.

But then again, I came back to the reality that this is not a fairytale. Everything doesn’t end well and neither is my life.

For the best of five years, she has been my best friend ever back when we were still in junior high. Of course, you would probably say that I do like her as more than a friend, in which case is… very illegal, I don’t know. But I know one stupid rule on friendship… is that: if you ever had a friend which is the total opposite sex of yours, you shouldn’t fall head over heels for him/her. My question is WHY? Why we shouldn’t let best friends be lovers instead? Is it because it would ruin the golden friendship you are having with him/her?? I don’t believe on that… Gee, maybe because I haven’t absolutely told her about my feelings yet…

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Hey, Kyle, I bought some popcorn and tortillas for our movie marathon!” Lila said as she placed the food she was bringing on the center table and flopped herself down on the faded brown sofa.

“You could have at least told me about you bringing the popcorn, ‘cause I prepared like a bunch of them.” I sat down and placed two bowls of popcorn on the table.” I sat down with her, and pressed the “PLAY” button on the remote, facing in to the flat tv screen.

“So, what are we watching now?” she asked, as she placed a mouthful of popcorn to her mouth.

“You’ll see. It’s a surprise.” I smirked.

“Kyle! Please don’t tell me this is the Texas Chain Massacre?”

“No, it’s not.”

“Good.” She gave a big sigh and relaxed her back against the sofa, while I placed my right arm around her shoulders. It was like a couple-thing to do that, but I think she didn’t mind. I will be watching three movies straight with her and good thing, my parents were still working but of course, I did ask permission about it.

While we were watching, a random question came out from her mouth.

“Kyle?”

“Yeah? What’s wrong?” I responded but my attention was on the film.

“Do you know this guy named… Seth Alston?”

“Why? You have a crush on him?”

A laugh then went from her mouth. She then placed her head against my shoulder.

“No… but I think he’s a nice guy. That’s what everybody says on the school.”

“Oh, really? Everybody? Including me? If my memory serves me right, I didn’t say anything about him being nice at school.”

“C’mon. He was like the most popular topic talked by the cheer leaders!”

“Yeah but not on football team.” I smiled.

“Shut up. I know you’re jealous of him…”

“Excuse me? Who said that? Me being jealous of him? That’s ridiculous. That’s insane.”

“Then why are you so offensive?” She looked up and glared at me.

“I’m not being offensive. I’m just startled because of you opening him as a topic of our conversation while watching a film and now, you’re telling me that I’m jealous of him.”

“Okay, fine. Let’s just finish the movie.”

“Better.” I relieved a sigh and started to munch on the popcorn. That Seth Alston, by the way, was a new student last year and is now popular because of his hazel blue eyes and that, he could talk six languages. I know he’s handsome but not so handsome to make me have a gay crush on him. He’s just popular and is being loved by all cheerleaders, and I hope not to Lila…

After the first film, I was going to get up and change it to another CD, but then I felt Lila’s head resting on my shoulder… I think she’s now asleep. I was having thoughts to wake her up, but I don’t want to. As I looked down on her fair face, I could really tell that she was beautiful. Her perfect rosy cheeks and her lips, made me pause to look her even more. I know, I have a huge crush on her but I think I should just probably let it flow over. She likes Seth and I don’t, which I think honestly made me jealous of him because of that. It was more than five minutes now, and I still couldn’t get over her angelic face. She was seeping like a baby and I’m happy she’s resting against my shoulder.

I was going to touch and caressed her cheeks but then her eyes move and now, she’s awake.
She yawned and stretched her arms.

“What happen? Is it over?”

“Yeah… One hour and forty two minutes---”

“WOW! WHAT A GREAT MOVIE!” she said it out loud and clapped her hands, pretending to be amazed.

“You didn’t even finish the movie. “ I said with a laugh then I cleaned up the mess on the table.

“I’m sorry, I’m just tired…”

“It’s okay…I didn’t even enjoy it…” Then I went to the kitchen.

“Kyle, my mom’s inviting you to come over in our house for dinner. She’s cooking her specialty- roast beef.” She stood up and placed the half-empty bowls on the counter in the kitchen.

“Why? What’s the occasion?” I asked, as I leaned in the counter table, facing her.

“Nothing… You know my mom cooks special for ordinary days and she wants your opinion for her new style of roast beef!”

“Okay… I can’t wait.” I smiled.

“Thanks.” She smiled back and there; we went out and walked to her house together.

(END OF CHAPTER 1)

Hey there. First off, I must say that I really liked this. I couldn't stop reading. Your writing has a really good flow to it and it's easy to read. The only thing I had a problem with was that until I was getting towards the end, I realized that they weren't going out. Maybe if you added that in it would be a touch less confusing. Other than that, I loved it! :)
Keep writing,
Chrissie

Please write more.. It's well written and easy to read. The characters are interesting and unique well worth pursuing.
Please pm me when u write more.
Continue to work on this and never give up on a story that obviously has taken you so much time and imagination.
The plot is interesting and hopefully the ending won't be predictable like that they end up being together.
Good luck
