So, what's your view on power? Do you crave it? Do you want it to be spread equally? Do you care about it at all? Or are you glad/not glad you have it? Post your views here. And to get it started, the first 10 posters will get a prize.

Burns,

Power? Huh. As if. I'd like some, but there's noooo way I'm getting any. Sometimes that's just not for you, ya know?
And remember...A portkey can be any sort of harmless object...A football...or a dolphin.

Amber,

I already have power... But the kind you're talking about? Nooo. I don't want to become some crazed mad man hell bent on taking over the world.

I have power. all I would ever want or need.
What could be more powerful than controlling evolution itself.

Too much power is bad. I know this, never again will I let it corrupt me.

Power. I work beneath those of power as advisors. I have a certain amount of power in that and it's...addicting. I want it, I crave it even.

But I won't ever put myself in a place of power. I'll prefer to sit in the background and let those who can truly handle it take the position and give them...suggestions. I know the difference, now, between those who need power and those who do not.

It doesn't matter if you are a good leader, but a good person. Sometimes the best leaders can become corrupted by the sense of power. I've learned that good leaders are not always good people. And good people are not always good leaders.

So the really hard part is finding the perfect person for the job. And sometimes, in our haste to find the best leader, we would prefer a good leader then a good person instead of waiting for a good person, one who can capture the hearts of the people, to come forward.

Zelda from a yet unnamed story

I was born into power. I'm the air to the throne. Really, I was actually looking forward to it. But then, of course, I was nearly assasinated and driven into hiding, so I don't really think I'll be ruling anything for a while yet.

Power is something that people should use sparingly and not abuse.

I really don't crave power at all. All it does is get you in trouble and make people hate you. And also, I'm a horrible leader. 'Nuff said. ;)

Power... ha! Your definition of power, or mine? I can't make mine go away. Your definition allows people to hunt me, make life a nightmare, because of mine. Suffice to say power is something one should not trifle with.

What good is power when you have no one to share it with. When you end up killing the person you love just by touching them. I'll never have a family, and friends are rare. I am a monster, stay away from me!

I think power should be given to those who can use it resposably and help those who don't have it. I guess you could say i have some authority over some of the BFI and i like that - usually - because i'm not...power hungry, you could say. :smt001
