OK! First, I will tell you all why I have finally after much frustration picked the title for this book, 'La Luna e Bella' it's Italian for The moon is beautiful. I chose the title for two reasons, one vampires can only go out at night, hence the moon part, and then Beauty or beautiful, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I don't think it's that easy to fall in love with a vampire, they are hard asses. Well that's about all I have, so here's chapter two of my vampire romance! Hope you like, oh and sorry this is so long!
Don't even turn around, I told myself taking a deep breath. I jabbed my elbow into his stomach, hurting me and not him. But it surprised him, Lex stepped back giving me enough room to open the door and escape.
“To get my suitcase, asshole!” I tossed coolly over my shoulder, slamming the door with all my might.
I felt everyone's eyes on me, as I headed to the closet, to bad I didn't make it that far. It took Lex two seconds to realize what I had just done, then I heard the door being yanked off it's hinges.
I felt myself being pulled backwards into his bone crushing embrace, to the normal eye it looked as if he was gently holding me and whispering sweet little nothings in my ear. But in all reality, he was crushing me, I could barely breathe.
“What did you call me?” he hissed into my ear.
I wasn't afraid anymore, maybe a little ticked off. But fear no longer ran through my veins, his little intimidation tricks didn't work anymore. I straightened my shoulders, despite his strong arms wrapped around me.
“I called you an-” he never let me finish.
“Don't.” he whispered menacingly, giving me a quick squeeze, my breath came and went.
I struggled feeling his cool lips press against the hallow spot at my throat. “Stop.” he commanded, but I couldn't. I was an animal trapped in a corner, no way out, fear seeped through me.
Ok, so I lied. I was afraid, of one thing.
“Maybe, I should teach you a lesson?” he voiced his dark thoughts.
I struggled some more, my breath, little that I had, coming in short painful gasps. Though Lex's fangs didn't shoot out like the movies portrayed, I could just picture his incisors dripping with venom in a slow syrupy motion.
“Lex,” I pleaded, my eyes flitting towards Starr and Jade, both vampires were stiff with fright, wondering what their leader would do to the sad blood sack. I was begging them to help me, even though I knew they wouldn't.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Phee, her strawberry-blonde curls alighting her pale face, she was smiling, she was enjoying this, my stomach plummeted to the ground.
“Lex, please don't.” I cried, tears spilling from my hazel eyes. “Don't, please, I'm sorry!” I gasped, feeling his hot breath at my neck.
This was it, he was finally going to kill me, and all I had done was call him an asshole. I about shit my pants when I felt his cool lips kiss my throat, and to hear what he said threw me for a loop.
“Pack you things and go!” he spoke harshly, letting me drip to the floor in a massive puddle of human emotions.
I was alive.
But I was an emotional wreck, I was crying because I was alive, crying because of fear and crying because I had brought this on myself.
I lay there for what felt like hours, still sobbing drowning in myself, because I had realized one other thing, I had hurt Lex. I didn't understand why it hurt so much, but it did.
I felt an arm go around me and heard a soft thud beside me, looking through my blurry vision. I wanted to cry some more, because it was Starr at my side, and boy did she look sad.
“Take your things and go.” she spoke softly, kissing my head. Her dark obsidian eyes, showing so much emotion, I didn't think a vampire could ever feel.
I looked to my right, and there was my suitcase with plane tickets and my passport on top, I had no doubt that some clothes were in there too.
I sat up feeling so alone in a house full of vampires.
Standing to my wobbly feet I wiped away tears, putting shoes and a jacket on, I took my belongings, and headed towards the door.
I couldn't live in the human world, nor could I live in a fantasy world. Where did I belong?
“Remember, eight o'clock.” Jade spoke softly, her brown eyes cool compared to Starr's loving gaze. she opened the door.
My heart leaped out of my chest, so they still wanted me! I could hardly believe it, I was about to say something to Jade and Starr, but I was already out the door, just as it was being closed.
