my definition for love!

The greatest irony of love is loving the right person at the wrong time, having the wrong person when the time is right, and finding out you love someone right after that person walks out of your life. Sometimes, you think you’re already over a person, but when you see them smile at you, you’ll suddenly realize that you’re just pretending to be over them just to ease the pain of knowing that they will never be yours again. For some, they think that letting go is one way of expressing how much they love that person. Some are afraid to see the one they love being held by someone else. Most relationships tend to fail not because the absence of love, but love is always present.It’s just that one was being loved too much and the other was being loved too little. As we all know, the heart is the center of the body but it beats on the left. Maybe that’s the reason why the heart is not always right. Most often we fall in love with the person we think we love, but to only discover that for them, we are just for passing time while the one who truly loves us remains either a friend or a stranger.
So here’s a piece of advice; let go when you’re hurting too much, give up when love isn’t enough, and move on when things are not like before. For sure there is someone out there who will love you even more.
(And it really expresses my life right now. You see, I was once in love with this boy. This boy was my life. Everything revolved around him, and I loved it. He was the reason for the hearts on every notebook, and the date on every page of my agenda. He gave me butterflies just thinking about him. He was my everything. But you see, all good things must come to an end. And we quickly died out. Although my heart still belongs to him, I can’t say I still ‘Love’ him. It’s more like I Love-D him. )

Hey I am Erin, and well for starters, this is poetry and you really didn't put it in any poetry format. It made it very hard to review. In overall though I liked it. I am not a big poetry reader, and most of the time if I were to see this title (My definition for Love) I'd run away screaming. Perhaps it was just because you added the word my, making it almost too personal. The reader needs to feel welcomed to the poem, like its how they can feel to, almost like a shared emotion. Also, the exclamation point was a little threatening as well, it kindof said to me, Take it or leave it! I don't care if you read this or not, because I don't care what you feel! But that isn't at all what you mean. I liked how your poem almost told a story, just separated in deliberate lines that made it "basic" to understand. I really wish I could read this in poetry format though, so I could see the definite lines and stanzas, other than that Good Job.

Yours irony is similer to me. I am studying in school and finding a friend and love, may i found her in my life. she is beautiful and caring too but once she said "i am not deep with you." after this I did not talk with her for week as if i love her. After a week she came to me and said "sorry for my words.I relized now what i did."

From the experince of mine i got know that love cant explain in words, cant say from lips. but we can feel it.
