One of my favorite moments from the movie, no joke. The two things that especially jump out at me:
1) His right eye (the one on the left in the picture) seems a lot bigger than the left. It's a nice eye, just a bit big for the face.
2) His jaw seems weird. After flipping back and forth between your picture and the photo, I think part of the problem is that it's a bit large in your drawing and his chin is angling in like this / rather than out the smallest bit like in the photo.
I envy your nose and ear drawing skills though, to be sure.
Ahhh thanks! I've only just noticed that about the eye! Shall work on that straight away. And yuhh, I've spent hourss trying to do the jaw right but I just can't seem to get it, but I'll keep trying. It's my favorite part too, I absolutely adore that film. xD Thanks for the advice!!!

Alrighty now, first off let me say I love Princess Bride (the book) although the movie was ok. With your photo the jaw is a bit to wide I think, bring it in just a tad. With the eyes, well they appear to be a tad closer together than they should be. Move the right eye over to the right a little more. The shading isn't bad at all really, there could be some darker shading on the side of the right side of the fac, but its also fine how it is now. Now with the hair, I think you could give him some more:) You can make it look like the light is hitting it more by adding different variances of shades. The lips could use lighter shades,and thats about it. Hopefully you understand most of what I'm saying, because I'm confusing myself a little with it. Overall though good job. The eyes look good and so does the ear, I cant ever get those right and I envy you all the more for it. If you have any questions or need another review, just let me know! Nice job! I loved it. The pic and your sketch look very similar. I thought you did pretty well with the shading...I can't help you on that though, since I'm no good at shading myself! You captured all of the character in his face. Yup, the ears are nice, and the hair has quite a bit of texture to it.
Your version of his eyes are exactly like the pic's, except (as the others pointed out), the left one is a bit cartoony and large. It also seems from the pic that his eyebrows are not supposed to be level...the right one should be a teensy bit higher, same with the right eye. I think his ear is supposed to be at more of an angle, and the bridge of his nose should have a little bit more of a curve to it...it's pretty much just straight.
But overall, I think you deserve 9/10 stars!! Hope I helped.
Obviously you're very talented when it comes to feature illustration and don't worry you'll master those hands with some handy practise. Notice what I did there? XD
Anyway, the major improvement I can suggest here is learning how to draw in proportion. This is because the face seems off-beat a little and the left eye as mentioned is digging into the nose and appearing a little on the larger side.
Like you I share a passion for illustrative drawing and there's a few things that helped me to improve.
For proportions have a look at this site: http://learn-to-draw.com/members/drawing-basics/0115.htm and click on the man's drawn head to see "Proportions in action". This website helped me to master some of my GCSE Art portraits.
For improving features further a big thing is tone shading. You know those really realistic pictures you see that someone's drawn? Well, in truth, they're not that hard. I used to think they were impossible, but they're not. You see you can easily get to this state by mastering tone-level shading. By this I mean you lightly shade the whole face and then you experiment with heavier layers using different gradients of pencil. Eventually producing an image that's got that "wow-photo" factor, you know?

That does look the guy from the Princess Bride. Neat job! Here's advice like you asked. The eyes are too close together, even from the angle. When sketching or drawing in 3 dimensional it's recommended in drawing light guidelines on the face, as for this picture- it seems you needed to put some of his features in the right places. Advice on shading: When drawing a portrait of someone, know where the light source is coming from so that the shadows can appear on the other side of it... When you shade, brush light or dark streaks, whichever but in line after line. Lattice shading works. Also, in shading, if you were to use a pen(which I wouldn't do but you can,:]) drawing lines farther apart create "light shading" and lines closer together create "dark shading." There is not really drawing "lightly" and "darker" with using pens. I think you did very good on this picture. I'd like to see more!!!!! ~Skyy. PM me if you want :]

Ooohhh Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies! Around his mouth and the eye on the left side of the page were the first things that jumped out at me. That's a really good nose though and noses are super hard for me!
