Hi ppls,
I was just wondering where everyone comes from in regards to their country and nationality, coz i'm interested in strange things. :x
So just to get the ball rolling, i'll start off: I was born in Australia (and i'm still there) but I'm of lebanese/Turkish origin.

And just in case your wondering: yes this post is also in the Randomness forum- so, no, your not going crazy...or are you?

I'm going to go ahead and delete the one in the Randomness forum, if you don't mind. I think it's a great discussion, but people will find it in one place. Don't worry. :)

Anyway, I'm Irish/English/Scottish/German, but born and raised American.

Born and bred in the US of A.

I'm Czech/Austrian and Scotish/Irish. My name is English. I wish I were Italian.

*Looks at Galatea in sheer disbelief*

How in the world can you be Czech/Austrian and Scotish/Irish if you were born and raised in America? Unless you were reincarnated, this would be impossible.

Me, my nationality is American.

I'm sorry, if you were born in America, you are American. If you were born in Australia, you are Australian.

If you were born on the moon? Well, then you would be loony.

Griffin, there are two parts to this discussion: where you(r ancestors) come from, and where you were born. Gal('s ancestors) comes from the stated counries, while she personally was born in USA. She said it all right, and didn't say anything differently than any other poster, which makes me curious as to why you picked on her. Anyway, I lied about being martian, I'm 100% American. Not sure about my ancestry, although I know that there's some Viking blood in me, and that my adoptive father's ancestors came mostly from Ireland and France.

Macedonian, pure bred. Most of the ancestors had married with germans or french men/women, hence the western europe-ish outlook. Heck its a 350 year old family tree how many ancestors can you get? :P
